I didn't have a jack big enough the first time I tried to jack the truck up. I bought the 3 ton long reach low profile jack and four of the 6 ton stands from harbor freight and just completed the second 4 tire rotation. I tried to rotate the spare in but I couldn't get it cleaned up enough to...
I have just thrown a whole bunch of sh it in the bed of the truck and closed the tonneau cover. Now who knows whats rattling around. Could be kids beach toys, the dogs water bowl or a case of bottled water anytime you jump the railroad tracks. And I try not to drive under 40 as much. Problems...
Yep, had my muffler replaced and it is slightly better but still rattles. Not quite as long, and not quite as loud. Definitely still rattles on startup.
Installed them today. The back end of the driver side front visor broke off about a half inch piece when I was getting it in position. All of what broke is covered up being in the weatherstripping and doesn't seem to affect anything so I continued. Basically a half moon shaped sliver snapped...
Not sure how they could try to say that looks normal, there is an identical one 3 inches to the left of it that isn't dicked up. But in case they need multiple examples...
Yeah, your photos make me feel inferior or jealous, I'm not sure what the exact emotion is. But the lady that takes my family photos could use a lesson or two.
Good looking truck! Good job.
Never paid much attention to the silver, probably because my old commuter car was silver and I haven't considered a silver vehicle since riding the wheels off that thing. Then I had a silver gen 3 go past me opposite side of the freeway near Barstow, CA the other day and boy was it sharp!
My truck goes in to have the muffler replaced on Tuesday. It took two trips to the first dealer and three trips to the second dealership for anyone to admit to hearing anything unusual and finally ordering a muffler. Took almost a month for the muffler to come in. I'll update when it's done and...
Was it drive line slack? My truck does that fairly often. Feels like the truck got kicked in the a-hole. It always happens coasting to a stop as I get to 7 mph. And if I put it in neutral and coast it will do it nearly every time.
My 2# scuba weight I found online works great for keeping the sensor happy. I still keep my hand on the bottom of the wheel 95% of the time, but the truck is much less "wife like" on long trips.
I took my truck in twice and gave them the TSB number both times. They still tried to tell me it was normal and no action was needed to correct it. But after picking it up the second time the fan noise was gone and hasn't come back. My paperwork still says they could not replicate the concern.
I wish mine would go away with the warm weather but even last week in 95 plus heat it has been constant since day 1. Does it most of the way down the asphalt section and all the way down my gravel driveway portion and most of the surrounding country roads, so there is not a day goes by that I...
Did your front weathertechs come with any hardware at all?
I only ordered the gen3 fronts, but they delivered today with a partially opened box and just the 2 mud flaps in plastic bags. Nothing else, not even instructions.
