Anyone take pics from the Philly show?

I don't know about you guys, but the black plastic on my mirrors was all scratched up from hitting bushes out in the desert. They certainly didn't seem very durable to me.

GEN 2 Ford F-150 Raptor Race Truck Finishes Mint 400!

I'm guessing they haven't announced the hp numbers yet because they aren't currently where they want to be. Maybe they're at 450 and they're trying to get to 500+. So they're tweaking the engine, tuning, and doing whatever they can to get there.

    Taken pre-orders of 2017 Raptor

Wow, just did some reading on his past. I don't think you need a fire suit if you send your truck to him. You probably won't even get your truck back.

    Raptor Dealers Selling Near Invoice

Back in 2012, dealers here in Los Angeles were asking 5,000 above msrp. I drove to Redlands and got mine for $3000 below msrp. Driving 2 hours to save $8,000 = totally worth it.

Maybe 511 HP? Does that change your feeling.

I haven't voted because none of the answers really fit me. I don't love it and I don't hate it. If I still had my 700hp supercharged gen 1, I would not even consider gen 2. Over 500 hp makes it slightly better in my eyes, but not OMG I have to have it. I will definitely check it out, but...

That would be disappointing if it's only 430's.

Everyone knows 11 is better than 10.

Bad experience at Bob Wondries Ford in Alhambra, CA

Your vehicle is not safe at any dealership. I took my truck to have it serviced at a dealership that has been highly recommended on this very forum. I won't say which one because I don't want to stir up trouble. I had a dash cam on it, and the techs were too stupid to notice or they just...

    Stuff for sale

It's time I got off my lazy ass and sold this stuff that's just sitting around. I've got quite a few things, so I'm going to list it all here. The shocks and bump stop have dirt on them. *Gasp* Yes, I took my truck offroad a few times. I will do my best to clean them, but don't expect...

Best in the Desert 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Race Truck

So what is the difference between the stock shock and the "race shock"? And would that be a worthwhile upgrade to purchase?

Roush s/c low power on dyno

Is the line on the bottom your before dyno? Looks like around 240.

Roush s/c low power on dyno

Definitely seems low. I had 330 stock and 450 when my Whipple was first installed. With JDM tune, I was around 485. Roush should be around the same.

Best in the Desert 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Race Truck

Chances are there's some loop hole they're taking advantage of. Either they are make no differentiation between gen 1 and gen 2, thus all gen 1 sales are considered. Or, the 36 months period they are talking about starts now, and they are factoring in future sales of the gen 2.

Best in the Desert 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Race Truck

Who knows. That probably is part of the reason. Unless someone with inside knowledge makes a post here, or someone takes the shocks apart to see what's inside, we won't know. All they said was they installed "race optimized shocks." What the hell does that mean? I guess my whole point is...

Best in the Desert 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Race Truck

Right, but you said they "made modifications to meet the class" That makes it sound like they had to modify the suspension just to be allowed in the race. If what you meant is that they made the modifications to the suspension to allow the truck the best possible chance of keeping up with...

Best in the Desert 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Race Truck

Are you saying they put a bed cage with big ass shocks in the gen 1 because that was a class requirement? My guess as to why they changed the shocks for both gen 1 and gen 2 is because they didn't feel confident that the stock shocks were good enough.

Best in the Desert 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Race Truck

No, I guess not. But what I'm saying is that neither truck was close to stock. It's too bad because it would be really cool to say that a stock truck plus some safety gear completed the race.
