For myself and my family it would be cool to do another SD run. Nothing but good memories from the first. Hard to replicate it without putting the whole band back together. Some of us participants *cough cough Lug don't even own Raptors anymore though lol. We might never all get to do anything...
Very good point and if I lived where I could hit the desert for a weekend my mods to the Raptor would probably not be as important to me. However living in fly over country the Raptor has to get my family of 4 from home to some place to play and then home again. Since we usually drive 8 hours...
Just wondering if anyone who has this cover has any hard off road experience? Specifically wondering if the cover stayed in place and if it holds up well to tough conditions. I have a Bakflip F1 on now and am considering buying this as a replacement. I like the ability to have easier access...
Yes to your question regarding downshifting going downhill. You can run manual mode and control what gear you are in to help slow the truck without using the brakes as hard. As stated weight in bed helps along with control of the skinny pedal.
I have no issues with my setup. I run all LED though so I don't have the same concerns as the HID lights. Not sure if mine qualifies as "monster light setup". But I know I have a ton of light output. Mostly Whelen LED with a Rigid 40" and an off brand 30" LED behind the grill.
Did grill decals and rear window see through sticker. Going to have to replace both one of these days. Grill was supposed to be reflective and rear windows were supposed to cover the entire window. Decided to go with what I had for now.
But Kaiser recirculation doesn't keep my truck clean off road, lol. Then again nothing can keep it clean and I am fine with that. Nothing like turning on the defrost for the first time when it turns cold and getting pelted with sand blown out of the vents.
