Y'all know where the factory code is? It was part of the owner's manual in my Gen 2 but I can't seem to find it anywhere in the books and paperwork that came with my gen 3.
I bought an OBD Link MX+ from Amazon when it was on sale. Scared to use 100% of its functionality but the nice thing is that it also works well on other marques in my garage.
Ordered mine 11.19.2021, arrived at dealer 4.7.2022, and delivered to me 4.15.2022. I guess I got lucky. Nice choice in current future colors! If you'd like to see what they look like side by side, here's my 2020 Performance Blue and 2022 Atlas Blue.
^^^same here - I constantly toggle through those exact screens + tire pressure when I drive. Wish there was MPG history that the gen 2 has, but so far I haven't been able to find that option.
The new displays are very cool, but I'm missing 2 things I liked about my gen 2 dash:
1. Actual gauges for RPM and speed - anyone know if there is any other display option besides giant geriatric numbers surrounded by moving chiclets?
2. MPG history - this was a 6-minute increment bar graph in...
Don't punt, man! Either wait patiently or just increase your pain tolerance - you won't be disappointed! And no... don't go the TRX route... I did it (twice) and have nothing against Ram (I use their Cummins products like water) but the fact is that Ford makes the best 1/2 ton at the moment. I...
Similar issue here but not as bad. I just drove from Denver to SoCal and in 40-55 degree weather and the HVAC just seemed TOO warm. I leave my t-stat at 68-70 in my Gen 2 all year round, but had to decrease the setting to 62-64 just to be comfortable in the Gen 3. A/C off, BTW...
I thought about transferring it from my Gen 2 to Gen 3 as well, but realized that the actual P/N is different. Did anyone on here actually buy the updated P/N?
Wind noise and suspension tuning specifically. Here in SoCal the slight undulations and expansion joints drive the Gen 2 (and TRX) suspension completely nuts. As in... the natural frequency at 70-75MPH shakes the truck apart. The Gen 3 just floats over everything.
Thanks! Love them both but the 22 is MUCH more refined than the 20. I live in SoCal where I always believed the market is strong, but demand has been weak so far.
Picked up my 801A 37PP yesterday and drove straight from Denver back to SoCal. Took some shots so that those of you who are on the fence can see the difference between 2020 Ford Performance Blue and 2022 Atlas Blue. What a great truck!
p.s. Yes - the 2020 is for sale with only 12,870 miles.
