1) removed that atrocious piece of metal and went w mid perch.
Bonus..bumps were making horrible clunking noise bc of spacer and shock mounts being cut. I had to put on new shock mounts...
Will be in market for front bumper very soon looking for ADD venom series front bumper for gen 1.
ADD pro, lite, venom and venom r are all on my list if anyone knows or hears anything.
After talking w Texas shock works looks like gen 1 shocks installed backwards due to (spacer) level.
Will be replacing shocks soon and go w mid perch and eliminate spacer lift... from the sounds of it I will need to purchase new strut mounts bc they are saying those bolts are typically cut...

Long story short truck has a level kit (spacer) on it and I want it off.
Before we tear it down what are the chances the strut mount bolts were cut to accommodate the spacer? Debating on ordering and having them handy or rolling w it and hoping they aren’t cut...

I believe my shocks are due for a rebuild but after some pics and investing I believe I have gen 2 shocks on gen 1 according to a few members and it seems to be the case... Also notice my front shocks have schrader valve?

Well I have been engaging 4x4 daily past three days and had zero issues. I’m chalking it up to not using and switching it on enough as of now. I plan on changing iwe check valve and line just as maintenance having 170k miles. I will just pay attention and make sure I don’t get the popping...

I feel kinda dumb but I remember I changed iwe Solenoid by the firewall when I felt like I was getting sluggish upon gas peddle acceleration a while back I wonder if that has anything to do with issue

So after work decided to just mess around and I can’t replicate the sound in 4WD.
this might be dumb but could not ever putting in 4WD and it being unusually cold out make it not engage all the way because I’m getting no wrench and no grind\pop as of now?

Also I get nothing popping or anything grinding in 2H turning and everything feels fine would a cv boot cause issues in 2H?
