For whatever reason, people always assume that because a speaker is more expensive, it is better. The tw5 is more expensive simply because it is designed in a shallower package for extra shallow applications. We have plenty of depth for the tw3 in our trucks.

Hell, one 12tw3 will spank one 13tw5. 2db at 110 db is a HUGE difference in output. More XMAX and a lower Fs make the 12tw3 the superior sub. Both subs were modeled in .8 cu ft with 600 watts at 4 ohm.

2 12tw3’s would absolutely put the 13tw5 to shame.
