I had a Baofeng for my first two Snoballs. you are right about the range, but the bigger issue is that it drains battery faster than it charges. so on day two and three my radio would be dead sometimes. took me a while to figure it out.
Bought it on eBay from Jegs, search "jack skid plate" they also sell it with a jack. Wife was not pleased it didn't fit the jack I already had (cause they didn't list the mount measurements) Took me a while to find one that fit.
Here are the measurements:
23" front axle to rear
Front mounts...
I know dan 06 said this, but I personally witnessed him take a shot, he was holding more and trying to get us all to partake. His breath and mannerisms were not that of a 0 BAC.
That's right, you weren't so why are you pushing so hard when you don't know?
He was over the limit, AND...
saw this at snoball too, it is stout!
would not really worried about digging a furrow in trails, but if you are serious about runs you need to mount ambers high. at snoball, this light flat disappeared. could see the truck in front but not him.
Nito Grapplers
apparently the backspacing on the 18s is different that the 17s and 20s. So no tight cornering. Had em a year and a half though so no real issue.
Worth it to me as the combo is much more proportional and aesthetically pleasing then 17s
Been told the new Icon UCAs were...
I got the 18" Mesh wheels on 37" tires cause the proportion looks better...but the offset was wrong. lots o rubbing. so I put longer wheelstuds to run ...(shhh) spacers (yikes)
now the offset is correct and i can turn again!
Don't judge me ;)
(yes, i run this truck, if i breaks on a jump...
Put on my Icon condoms from TMX. Good investment for anyone living in a state with an unlimited road salt budget like Kansas.
Even ziptied em on like someone recommended
lets see how they hold up
