I just read this and am confused by their statement that the pressure relief valve/bypass valve in the motorcraft filter doesn't allow unfiltered back into the engine. The whole point of the bypass is to maintain oil feed at the cost of contamination. There picture a few slides in even shows...
As yet that is unknown, especially when fitted with the optional hotspot feature. The GPS is assisted/augmented/enhanced/insert other synonym here with inertial data from the vehicles can network. Now if you want to be a **** about it yeah I called this A-GPS which was the wrong term...
Well the truck uses whats called A-GPS (Assisted Global Positioning System). This type of GPS implementation is common in the automotive and cell phone GPS markets. In the automotive sector they use the speed sensors to augment the GPS data to make your location more accurate, this is...
You won't find that style bolt at HD, they are a self tapping style.

Drive it, check for leaks, rebuild if required. Depending on the bearing and seal caps the main oil seal may have gotten to dry and cracked, but it would need to be an early production 2010 to have the susceptible o-ring instead of the slightly tougher lip seal. As for the nitrogen charge, its...
The original frame for the vehicle will have the vin stamped on it, replacement frames do not have vin numbers on them. In the US at least the VIN for the vehicle moves with the cab not the frame.
The work involved with switching a 5.4 truck to a 6.2 will be crazy, you need all new computers, harnesses, probably a transmission to start, better off putting another 5.4 in it and saving the $$$
Interesting, so the needle slowly blocks the port that passes through the center of the valve stack as the shock progresses. The tapper helps it be progressive, maybe this isn't the same as the fox patent! It is however kinda similar to the Icon design's built in bump zone which uses a second...
I'm really curious on how this internal bypass with full size piston and valve stack works considering the shock body is smooth, where are the oil bypass cavities/tubes and valves?Nice to see someone finally licensed the patent and started making an IBP shock other than fox.
Finally got some time to work on my own truck over the weekend. Got a bunch of stuff done, leaf packs both stripped down, cleaned, re-arched, painted with por-15 and then finished with chassis black top coat. Got the Icon RXT's that I rebuilt a few weeks ago installed, bump stops adjusted for...
The re-arching is a good question, I wasn't planning on a full re-arch, only matching the 2 sides as close as possible. I have a 50-ton press in the shop that will make light work of that if needed. But now you mention it I might hit up Jimmy for the original arch dimensions and specs.
