Quick update on my end for those that are having similar chattery/rough ride issues and vibrations. I took my truck to two dealerships in an attempt to get someone to acknowledge and address the issue, without success. However on a recent visit for an oil change I took one more shot and asked...
HP: Got this reply from Camburg regarding concerns on the rear shock specs. I'm going to take a spin with Jerry over at Camburg in his Raptor R with kings on it this week and pick his brain a little more. Will report back
"The King shocks are longer in length which allows them to work on the...
Has anyone installed and configured a new ride height sensor? I’ve posted about my rough ride issues elsewhere and in an attempt to diagnose/address the issue I ordered two new ride height sensors with the intention of replacing at least the right rear but possibly both rear sensors because...
I sure did, but because they aren't making the clunk sound stated in the SSM and aren't leaking or throwing a code, they said it did not apply. The tech also would not acknowledge the ridiculously rough ride. So frustrating to have a setup that can't be diagnosed until its falling apart.
That’s what I’m eyeing but I’m torn over waiting for Fox to come out with factory shocks for the truck. The common denominator seems to be bad OEM shocks and solenoids on the gen 3’s that I don’t remember being an issue on the 19’s and 20’s. If shock replacement will fix my problem then I...
Slaptor appreciate all that feedback. I’ve made some longer posts on another thread but I don’t think it’s shocks because I’m not having the usual knocking issues and it seems to be all four corners, though the rear is far more pronounced. The truck is super firm and chattery and there is a...
I talked to the gents at SDI and my LV issues will probably carry over and they didn’t have a suggestion on how they could help diagnose. Ultimately if fox ever comes out with FRS shocks for the gen 3 plus e-click would be as good as it gets for bolt on options
Hi all, I'm having endless issues my live valve system but it isn't throwing any codes so the dealer isn't willing to acknowledge the terrible ride or try and help diagnose it. That said, I'm looking at alternatives that might be better in the long run. I came across a truck that was converted...
No code in the BCM-C unfortunately. Would a solenoid sending inconsistent or inaccurate data possibly have this effect? The only thing noticeable from the live data is that the RR height sensor occasionally shows small high frequency movements when at rest while the other 3 are rock solid.
Thanks FTO. It’s completely stock, I’ll take a look at the log again but I don’t remember seeing that. I’m not far from SDI headquarters so I may see if they can take a look at what the truck is reading in real time. Appreciate everyone’s help.
2020 raptor I put 25k miles on and 7,000 perfect miles on this truck before this started. Even my wife asked what was wrong with it the on road ride was so rough.
I completed the ride height recalibration with forscan today multiple times. The values were way off to start with so I was hopeful the recalibration would work, but it didn't improve ride quality at all. Extremely stiff ride and feels like there is no rebound damping over small compressions...
@tm965 let me know if you find resolution to this. My 22'-35 started doing the rough ride 1,000 miles ago and I can't get any relief. Dealer tech wouldn't acknowledge that anything was wrong so I just tried the ride height recal for the first time today and it corrected the height values but...
I appreciate you sending this over. Given that the ride of the entire truck is of it would seem odd for all of the shocks to suddenly go bad and then I was able to get it acting normally for a very short time by cycling the damper mode. I just ordered my OBD cable and I'll install forscan...
My rough chattery ride continues without end. I stopped by the dealer to determine a course of action ie. what it's going to take to get the shocks swapped per the service bulletin and they asked me to have a tech ride with me; of course he told me nothing was wrong with the truck and that...
Dealer found no loose wires or faults, aside from a low charge message; but the battery passed a condition check. Just picked it up and its still doing the same thing, I'm going to be pushing for replacement shocks. Hopefully I don't have larger electrical or livevalve module issues that...
I just dropped my truck at the dealer and handed them the service bulletin. I posted above about having some success with alleviating the harshness and vibration by cycling the suspension mode but after a few miles it’s back to its bad behavior and doesn’t respond to mode changes anymore, just...
I started having this issue a couple months ago after 17k miles on my 22’-35, note the build date of my truck is June 2nd of 2022 so it was born 3 weeks before the shock fix. For those that are still having this issue; while driving I cycled through the shock modes during normal city driving...
It was a standard color in the pallet the shop carried called National Orange. As close as I could get to the anodized orange on the shocks and has just a little flake, probably closer to true Fox orange since it’s glossy but once they’re under the truck it looks like a match.
