The dude went from sitting idle to full throttle. He didn’t experience lag, he experienced wheel spin and electronic correction. It’s a pickup truck with offroad tires; you can’t mash the pedal and expect to move like it’s a rally car. The lag on this engine is nearly non existent
Yeah usually the ‘did you buy it here?’ dictates if you get a free loaner or something but the rest is paid by Ford as long as they diagnose and do it according to procedures.
The post prior to mine mentioned an 8 hr pull and replace ‘back in the day’. This implies that newer cars have a more complicated process. My post was to say ‘not all newer cars’.

Most awd systems don’t use a transfer case. That’s usually the problem. Ours is a 4wd with a clutch activated transfer so all it would do is heat up the clutch More. It’s an on-demand thing. AWD is proportional, and constant.
