I would love to have real carbon fiber pieces, but they just don't offer them unfortunately. Thanks for the explanation on those windshield lights as wasn't sure the plan for them. lol I have tons of BD offroad lights all over the truck in amber, so I wouldn't need them for that anyways. I have...
I just called my local dealer and they in fact still have them, so I went ahead and ordered it. Should have it on Tuesday. This is my 22 RCSB truck, but it'll give you an idea of what it looks like:
I had the BedRug in my 13 Limited and it was really nice to keep things from sliding around and making noise, but I hated trying to remove it to clean the bed. Other downside is if you spilled something in the bed it just soaked it up. lol
I believe Ford still offers an OEM one for our trucks, but I was going to call and check. The one in my 22 is extremely nice. It's thick, rubber, has little nubs to keep it slightly off the bed floor so it doesn't trap moisture, and the F-150 logo is a really nice touch.
Heads up since I'm currently installing them on my 21 RCSB - I wouldn't run the TBM brakes on something that's using very heavy wheels and tires and on a heavy vehicle like our trucks. Their design was made more for use on a lighter weight vehicle that would not see tons of heavy braking on a...
Nobody makes actual CF pieces for the interior for the Gen 1. You have to get the covers (like I did), vinyl wrap, or hydro dip.
What's the idea behind those windshield lights? The only time I've seen those used was for volunteer/professional EMS or local enforcement.
Another item that's been on my mind would be to pick up a rubber bed liner mat. My truck is already Rhino Lined and the bed is in great shape, but I also hate that stuff slides around on it. I bought the Ford OEM rubber bed mat for my 21 RCSB and absolutely love it. Thoughts?
Hey guys! Just wanting to wrap up the lighting on the truck at this point. The last place that I could use some lighting would be for the underbody. I know they're typically referred to as "rock lights", but wasn't sure where it would be recommended to place them. I would assume one at the top...
I would recommend getting the Morimoto LED projector headlights rather than the Alpharex ones. They are much better than the stock lights, plus (IMO) look far better. The only thing I would do if I didn't have access to the Morimotos would be to retrofit different projectors into the OEM lights...
I'm thinking of going Deaver +2's and the RPG bump stop with Fox's as well, just hadn't decided on shocks. Kind of want 3.0's but supposedly they aren't great on the road and can potentially be noisy.
Is this worth the cost and work? Just curious what others think as I'm currently in process of overhauling my suspension on my Gen 1 as it's almost completely stock and ready for a refresh.
The dimensions could be different between the calipers sure, but I'm not sure that could be attributed completely to just the cast v.s. machined idea, because they can make the caliper as big or as small as they want to for an application really. I'm sure they are a great option as well for our...
