I don't doubt your dealer had allocations, but that does not mean your order was the one they submitted against it. If they really had an allocation and only put your order against it, you'd have gotten built. They probably had an allocation and 4 different sales people put in 4 different...
You can do better for sure. I was offered 5k by dealerships in WI and IN both back in 2021 when the local ones were asking 10-20k here in IL. Was able to find no ADM even back then, I'm sure you can now. You need to be patient though, which people seem to not be.
You might want to look into dashcam quality. They are really, really bad at capturing details in most situations, even something like a license plate.
In general, it'd maybe catch what happened, though likely only if it were in front or behind - probably not along side. But details of...
I ordered my 22 on 10/18/2021. It was scheduled for build finally 9/5/2022. Plenty of others similar with hundreds (thousands?) of later orders built first. You're along for the ride at this point, with no guarantees.
Typically you want to use an isolation battery for them if you regularly go multiple days without driving them and leave it on. You can either put the battery on switched power, or use one of the ones that has voltage sensing and turns itself off at a predefined voltage from the vehicle's main...
Market is changing very rapidly for several reasons, but, that's the best deal anyone has admitted to so far. I'm sure there are people out there with ties to dealers who got lower prices, but other than those people, as good as anyone has done so far.
Pretty sure the modules thing is urban legend at best. I watched mine a bit through the build timeline. It definitely didn't follow what people seem to suggest in any way.
I would suggest these are likely asynchronous processes.
Pretty odd at this point, you're right. I have no evidence of this beyond trying to think of what might cause so many from the same period to be delayed so long behind newer builds.
I wonder if they had an entire lot of faulty parts that was caught during final QA, and all the vehicles with...
Tried to get a whiff, but not noticably coolant smelling. So either it wasn't coolant or there just wasn't enough of it. It was fairly windy, which is why it's kind of buffeting around.
If it was the water that built up in the hood cowling, which it seemed like it might be, I'd figure a lot...
Only saw one other topic asking this, and his seemed to have turned out to be an issue with his trans cooler. I don't think this is, but curious if everyone gets it.
Only had the truck a couple days, so everything is new. We had quite a bit of rain the last couple days. Drove the truck...
Interesting the variety of experiences here. I put the Raptor into "sport" for the first time yesterday. Do the different modes change the TCU behavior?
The reason I ask, in "Sport" it seemed like the transmission had all the shift points wrong. It would seemingly "slam" into the next gear...
Yes, which is why the factoid probably doesn't get much air time. They don't generally use water for any vehicle fire since you tend to launch flaming oils around the area rather than extinguish the fire.
So I know this thread went off the rails, but, an interesting note on the "37" on the rear.
It isn't just a "37" - it is actually a piece of the graphics package, so it has the Baja topography lines in the piece around the 37 as well. On mine it's almost invisible as it's black on dark, but if...
Yup - I'm not much for graphics on vehicles, I generally try to go for understated. That's of course in short supply with the Raptor in general, but I still tried to stick to as understated as I could make one.
"Retail" when referring to pricing basically means whatever they feel the market allows - ie: ADM.
More specifically it might be the KBB or similar "Retail" value which would be similar to above, but maybe less extreme.
But basically, "Retail" means nothing. MSRP is a specific figure.
