Yeah, my concern there is with the strength of the tailgate motor and the fact it seems to have no resistance safety - I think it will rip the door off your cap if you were to accidentally hit the tailgate open with the cap door latched shut.
I put a 200lb gorilla against it and pressed the...
Right, so if you go buy something similar value to that right now to hold you over until the Raptor arrives, and then trade it in or sell it when the Raptor arrives, won't it end up the same again?
Is that true? If you buy a "temporary" one and apply the tax credit there, and then sell that one when yours shows up, doesn't it end up roughly the same?
Is all the yellow masking tape in the suspension area supposed to be removed by the dealer as part of the delivery inspection? I had a bunch of yellow and black masking tape hanging loose from various bits. There's also some white masking tape that seems to be doing nothing that I didn't pull...
Having spoken with both those dealers (and all the rest in my area) when I was originally looking: they literally laughed at me. Curious if anyone gets a different result from any dealers in this area.
I have a feeling the ravelco is a bit like your treadmill at home.
Thoroughly researched to pick one out, excited and use it every day for the first month, then less and less, until it just sits in there forever, maybe becoming a hanger for something else.
FWIW, of those 39 listed, probably 30 of them don't exist. The lower priced ones probably are just the MSRP listed, if you go to the dealer website from them, you'll likely find a different price.
I don't think you'll find any on lots yet without ADM. I do think you can order them though, but...
I have no connection to my dealer/no previous relationship with Ford. But I was patient and waited a year for my order. Right now, realistically you would want to be asking dealers to get in line on a 24.
Did anyone disable their power tailgate when they installed a cap? Seems the tailgate does not have any sort of resistance sensing, so guessing if it actually got activated with a cap on, some very bad things would follow.
Uhm, nope. Can tell you first hand in some cases it's at the worst it's been. Supply comes and goes on different components, but it's not even necessarily "better" at this point. Definitely not over.
We're actually dealing with a lot of scenarios where estimates on components are 12-18...
Again, entirely different problem. As mentioned before, getting past a door lock and getting past an immobilizer and two entirely different situations. Anyone who can get past your immobilizer is not going to be deterred by a door lock, horn alarms, etc.
Sure, but it was something that they ordered, not something that was forced on orders. There's an X code for them if they were removed. There's nothing in the product updates that a tailgate applique delete was required, nor any heated steering wheel deletes for 22MY.
Is there evidence of this? I know people deleted it on orders because of a belief it would get them built faster. Maybe it even did. But no indication that it was mysteriously deleted.
Mine definitely has it...
Exactly, but the reason they do it looking for valuables? Because it works. If people stopped leaving them in there, they'd also stop doing it.
No harm in taking steps to make it more difficult, sure - but breaking the windows always remains, and you aren't going to reasonably make that any...
Personally love it - have only closed the shade once and briefly in ownership. Before I ordered I was speaking to someone who had a Gen 2 Raptor previously and mentioned that I didn't think I'd want it. He told me I was 100% wrong and it was one of the better features. Can't argue with him...
Well, no - definitely not a better solution. Thieves can always just smash your windows, grab your valuables, and walk away in under a minute while the alarm goes off.
Not leaving valuables in your car is the best solution, and really the only 'solution'. Thieves break into cars because...
To which, of course, there is an easy solution.
Don't leave guns, cash, valuables in your vehicle.
Which isn't specific to the F150, it's dumb to do in any vehicle.
Not sure elaboration is necessary. There is not a clear indication that supply chain issues will improve through 2023. In some cases, it looks to possibly be worse.
It is unknown at this point how it will shake out, and it is unclear how supply issues versus economic downturn will impact...
FWIW on the seat firmness. For long trips, firmer seats at first might feel like they'll be worse. For me, they're actually way better. The very soft recliner type seats are the ones that after 500 miles my back, shoulders, and legs are sore. There's definitely a tipping point where a hard...
I'd imagine the dealers don't really care. Has all the symptoms of a software/firmware issue in the sync system. Which means nothing they can fix unless Ford issues some sort of update for them to apply. They'll note it and send it along in some fashion - it's possible Ford is paying...
