That's what I want to do eventually, just wanted to make sure I like the color first. If the dip holds up for a while, that's fine. If it doesn't, not a big deal, I'm out a few bucks and an afternoon.
Everything was left on. Taped 1" away from edge of flare. The seam makes makes a natural cut in the dip, excess overspray is peeled off of the paint. Very easy to do and cleanup.
Plasti dip is a tough rubberized coating, that goes on like spray paint. It lasts for a few yrears if applied and taken care of correctly. You can peel it off anytime you want.
Dipped the flares, bumpers, and mirror reflectors today. The gray didn't match the red and black theme, plus the front flares and bumper had streaks in it like they were stained. All the car products I have wouldn't remove it.
Sounds like you need the 250. What you described you want with mild on the highway and loud when you stomp on it sounds exactly what I experience with my 250 with a resonator. Highway has more volume than stock, you can tell it's there but still have a conversation.
Mints? First I've heard of it. Of course I'm still pretty new here and have only placed a couple orders so far. Just got my paint sealant and H2O GG today, only thing in there was a sticker and a postcard ad of microfiber towels. I'm digging the products so far. Looks like this forum has...
I run it through the touchless wash every time I fill up to knock the dust off. There's a station in town that gives a 20 cent per gallon discount if you purchase a car wash. As long as you buy 25 gallons, then the $5 basic wash is practically free. I will have to do a proper hand wash and...
It could be. I left the resonator in, that way if I wanted it louder I could take it off later. Since my kids ride in the truck almost every day, I didn't want it obnoxious. Now my GT500 on the other hand is pretty loud since I don't have anyone ride with me.
I had my Venom 250 installed yesterday after work. I kept the resonator on because I wasn't sure how it would sound without it. Glad I kept it on, it sounds pretty damn good in the cab with the stock exit.
The picture in the first post is the original switch. Why it has a T in the part number I don't know, because the box has a Z. I put my VIN in at fordparts.com and there's two switches that come up for the front and rear camera. I chose the SW7044 when it's probably the SW7453 I need. Here's the...
Apparently the SW7044 (part# EL3Z-13K359-AA) switch from rock auto wasn't the right one, even though it has the front camera option. Everything worked with the new switch except for the extended turn signal, all it would do is flash 3 times. I ordered switch SW7453 (part# CL3Z-13K359-AA)...
So I got this truck a couple of weeks ago and like how the turn signal works compared to my 04 F150 that I got rid of. The left works fine but anytime I use the right signal it would flash the brights. Yesterday it broke where you can't keep the brights on and the self cancelling signal doesn't...
Well they dropped it $3k then. I called on it 3 weeks ago since it's an hour away from me and also because the price wasn't listed on Car Gurus where I found it. When they told me $64k I said "Oh, ok" and then hung up.
There are some deals out there, just have to be patient and be willing to...
