This could be one of a million things. We have many trucks in with rattle and no rough start. Boost leaks, bad injectors, etc.....attribute time rough idle at cold start usually
I could see that. The trucks are designed by ford to pull cab. Few things Unclip, master has two nuts that get removed, and that’s it with 8 body mount fasteners
Takes 40 min to remove the cab it’s more or less plug and play designed for this.
TECH TIP: never use impact on body mount bolt even when almost removed fully
I’m equip with IDS and full dealers worth of important “tools”. Not like the specialty tools for working on say engine or things to install this or that, I’m sure that’s a given, but all the licensing and logins, vcm3 etc. I call them the great money suck, but if You want to specialize in ford...
Not sure if mentioned but ford has updated cylinder head cores. They allow the VCT solenoids to sit in the mega cam cap slightly differently as well as photos of the new cam phasers vs old. We will be offering new cam caps however one would need to send their heads in for an align hone, and it...
600 with 500 miles
Also ford was and still is having head gasket issues. They just made a major change to them and we still see them going. We have custom head gaskets made. If ford made a huge change to their design tells you something

Boost and rpm
You can’t run 30 pounds on springs with almost no spring rate and same as rpm. Harmonics gets the better of a stock spring and that is why people “drop a valve”. Valve float and valve train harmonics that are out of control will take an engine very quickly. It’s really bad...
Full Race EFR kit on 62/58 turbo options. Turbos are maxed out flowing over 90 lb/min, running only 6 degrees of timing and 20 psi.
Also, the engine is one of our 4.2l strokers, cams, heads done, basically it’s our pretty much nicest optioned engine package. We do this to spool 71/63’s to...
Super important question for you.
Do you use the cloth style textured bandaids, are you more of the thin plastic feeling style bandaid that are thin?
I take you for cloth, almost like using gaffers best. Me too. [emoji4]
I wanted to let you know I prefer the clothe type personally or...
You make a valid point as demented as it is that a dealer you spend loads of hard earned money with just has to treat you like crap and lie to you to get out of something they want to do. Sad, but your statements true
Setting new standards
Your actually correct, and the timing chain tensioners are fed oil on their backside ( and it stays there pretty well. The chains from all our tear downs haven’t been stretched at all.
