Not saying it’s good or bad. I don’t follow the build, I’m saying I can create the same results for MUCH less than 150k. That number is either a lie or someone got screwed.
You’re missing my point, the deck isn’t solely for compression numbers, the factory doesn’t machine any blocks to a performance spec, therefor the decks needs trued up in relation to the main bore center lines. It’s the same concept for the cylinder walls. The cylinder walls and deck surfaces...
150k.. top fuel engines don’t cost that much.
It had H beams and the deck isn’t even surfaced. Looks like a decent build but I’m not seeing much extra.
Hey Raptor owners, I wanted to have everyone follow along with me through this process of rebuilding a 6.2 for more power and more reliability.
The goal is 600-700WHP, easy to obtain in my opinion. With my knowledge, resources, and some help of some big time parts manufacturers, I'm in the...
It's all about how you maintenance the engine and the initial tune but also these engines seem to have valvetrain issues stock, so that would concern me at any amount of boost.
Eric is correct about a stroker crank being unnecessary, stock crank will handle at least 800+ horsepower as the factory cranks are getting very strong. Forged piston/ rod combo will be a must if you want a significant power increase and keep it reliable. I'd also recommend going with a valve...
Sounds like best case the cylinder head needs reconditioned. Piston is probably fine, only worry there would be a crushed ring land from the valve hitting.
Yea I can help you with whatever the engine would need. I'm guessing they haven't actually been inside the engine, hard to diagnose that with a borescope. Also, where are you located?
Hey guys I'm looking for anyone who's interested in getting engine work done to their 6.2L. I'm a professional performance engine builder out of Virginia interested in developing an engine program for these trucks. I have direct relationships with some of the biggest names in the game such as...
