They did not. It's not part of that service.
Would you suggest doing so? The cooling fans kick on when just climbing a 1/4mi steep hill heading home. Truck isn't overheating, it's just gets hot quickly. I would argue the thermostat is acutally doing it's job as I'm hearing the cooling system...
Drew, I second the suggestion of keeping the 17". The stock wheels are forged and much better built than what most people are willing to spend to "upgrade" on that. I will not get into good or bad taste about truck styling and leave those opinions to myself. Regardless of what you do with your...
UPDATE: Ford Corporate again confirmed the initial warranty service is only a year warranty coverage on parts and workmanship. Financial assistance was approved at 50%. I negotiated with the Service Director and they finally agreed to do the service at their expense given the circumstances.
The...
That's about what I'm seeing. However, I did not have this issue before the phaser replacement a year ago.
@FordTechOne has a good point about the thermostat which I mentioned to the service last week -I don't know if they looked into that however. I'm still pushing back about the phaser job...
Thanks! Levi is 10 now, wow time flies. Yes, @smurfslayer posted above the mileage schedule for the parts coverage. However, it's a one-time coverage and it was done one year and 20 days ago. Therefore past the one year service/parts warranty. FML
I'm still not seeing in the threads about issue...
Currently there's 44K on the ODO. I bought it cert. preowned from a California dealer in 2/2020 with 7,500 on it. Don't know history more than that other than my routine services. The service notes from the phaser replacement does not describe if the "duty cycle reprogram" was done -I will ask...
Hey guys, I haven't been very active on the forum lately but I need your help.
2019 (built 10/2018) Raptor with cam phaser issue was taken in under warranty repair on 8/22/23. The tech made a mistake and did not seat a plastic component for the cooling system to the engine property. I got home...
Hey guys, I have a Roam case -the big one. My plan was to keep it locked in the bed up towards the cab so I could secure some things. My cap shell was broken into recently and lost thousands of camp gear because it wasn't secured. The Roam case was purchased as a plan to better keep EDC in the...
@x-ray you mentioned one option for the amber lights is to run them through the truck‘s light power so the S8 amber is on when the parking/headlights power on. Can you (or anyone) point me, with little-to-no electrical experience where and what to tap in order for that feature?
I didn't do the rear FFR 3.0s due to cost. Exactly. It's less of a priority for the rear as they were for the front. The bumpstops were a no-brainer for the protection. The FFR 3.0s do not substitute or replace the use of bumpstops. Apples and oranges.
I'm very happy with the setup thus far...
For those expecting higher engine output figures, there are easy and affordable solutions. Shocked this hasn't surfaced yet. There are high performance stickers for the windows or body of your truck, plus other great mods:
-COBB sicker adds at least 10hp.
-SVT Racing windshield sticker? Good...
UPDATE: FFR3.0's installed on front. Alignment done. Recalibrated ride height. 0.0" adjustment on the coilover. Rake appears "stock"ish, just a slightly higher ride. 41.5"ish in the front, 43.0"ish rear. Driver's side is nearly 0.2" higher so I might have it dialed in to level at some point. I'm...
F*ing brilliant, thank you @dixonk ! Couldn't have asked for better feedback. I'll keep mine at 0" preload and report back when it's done and driven around the block.
@RaptorDXB When I had the +4HDs installed (SVC shackles - 0 drop), I thought the truck height was obscenely high. After towing a trailer and hauling some weight in the truck, they have settled down quite a bit. I've heard from SVC, one decent off-road trip with your gear loaded, your truck will...
Hey guys, I have Deaver +4 HDs on the truck. Installing the front Fox Factory Racing 3.0s in the front today. STOKED!!!
Question: how much preload are you running on them? I've asked the mechanic to put them in with 0 adjustment to the collar and see where it stands. I'm looking for about a...
Would a Yeti (or something equivalent) solve your needs? Might be a lot easier.
My Tundra 75 is good for a week using dry/regular ice mixed. Cocktails for days.
The Fox Factory 3.0s are sitting in the bed of my truck, thanks to Jeff @svc. Hope to get them installed this month. I'm keeping the Deaver +4 HDs on the back. I actually like them and they've settled in after a couple of hauls with a trailer. I can see how the HDs would benefit with a truck bed...
Hey guys, I like to hardwire my V1s into a switched power source in my vehicles. It's a little more clean than a wire tap. Ideally, the power should come from an ignition switched source so that the V1 is off when the truck is locked/off, but it doesn't trip when the engine auto stop/start...
Why did you go with the 95L instead of the larger box? They don't weigh much. Are you using more than one box to store tools or is that sufficient for your needs?
