Have you checked for a cracked exhaust manifold or broken stud? My truck did weird stuff like that when I had a crack between the Number 6 and 7 cylinders.
Maybe your bosses truck has a problem. I've seen where the AC is over charged and causes the Hi mode to kick in. It has to be in the High 90's outside before I hear mine kick on. The best way to check is to put a scan tool on it and see if the PCM is commanding the HI mode to come on. If it...
I thought he changed txv. He never stated the outside temperature. If it was 90 degrees outside, the high side pressure would be normal and the low side would be low. I'm no expert, but that's my take on the chart. Also, you shouldn't add more Freon than whats stated on the sticker under the...
It's a kit for servicing the ac. It comes with a thermal expansion valve, dessicant bag, oil and all the orings you need to change those parts. It's just easier to buy the kit instead of buying all the parts individually.
I didn't use the dye. The system wasn't leaking, it just wasn't cold. I'm not sure sure exactly what service kit I used, It was probably 3 years ago. That's why I said I used a kit "like" this.
I never flushed mine, but I did put in a kit like this.

It was Ice cold again
I think it's behind the radio in the dash and I think that is basically the amplifier for the speakers except for the sub woofer. I'm in the middle of moving right now and my service manuals are in a shipping container. I'll try to get a location for the DSP this weekend
I would do a resistance check on the wires from the speaker to the DSP. I think that is basically the amp. If those wires check out good, try to plug in a different speaker. Maybe yours got wet somehow. Otherwise I would say the DSP is bad.
If you want cooler temps, You need to bypass the thermostat in the valve body with this.

I installed the bypass valve and the larger cooler. I rarely see over 200 degrees on trans temp. If you're pulling a trailer on a hot day, heat...
I've ran interstate batteries for a long time. It seems like they don't last as long as they used to. I used to get 5 years out of them. I'm the opposite of the OP. I run my truck all winter and it sits a lot during the summer. It seems lately that after about two years the Interstate batteries...
I had the same problem. turned out to be the dust shield where the steering shaft comes through the firewall. There's a bearing in it that dries out.

I decided to be the guinea pig. I bought one off ebay for $188. Part# 9632. It's a little longer than the stock. It's a tight fit to get in, but there isn't any fitment issues. It definitly spins the motor faster than the one I took out. To be completely transparent, I replaced the factory...
Make sure your trans is at the correct temperature when you check it after changing it. I think it has to be around 197 degrees. I think that's the temperature the thermostat in the trans opens to let the fluid travel through the trans cooler. Someone correct me if I have the temps wrong.
I have an exhaust manifold leak on my Gen 1 and I'm basically replacing the whole exhaust system minus the cats. So I was thinking, while I have everything out, I might as well replace the starter. Mine seems to be slowing down when cranking. Battery is good. I was looking at powermaster...
Wasn't there a recall on the output shaft speed sensor that caused the 6th to 1st shift n the highway? Worth a shot changing that. If the computer is getting the wrong info it would shift crazy
