Nice.
I did a redarc 1225 BCDC to an AGM battery in a trolling battery box. I had the battery and box from an offroad trailer and since the box has breakers in it, it saved some hassle with adding fuses/breakers, outlets, and is water-resistant. When the battery craps out, I'll replace with a...
So far I haven't had to do it in the rap, but have had to on many occasions on the past - get surprised by a fat truck, nowhere to ditch it, slam on brakes, back up at full speed while truck bumper bearing down on you. Nip into ditch or wide spot before contact.
Even though we use radios...
Magnetic '19
Leadfoot was my first preference, but not available in this year. I'm happy with the magnetic - it hides the dirt ok, the truck blends in a little which is what I wanted, and it's not an 'in fashion' color so it should age well.
I tried to find pics that show the color accurately...
Cool re Westcott. Frame weld? Square stock for the main part and round for the outer? I've been geeking out on slider design/considerations... look forward to seeing what you guys came up with.
I think they said they weren't continuing their sliders any more...I might have that wrong.
That led me to look elsewhere and I really like how these use the 3 sets of cab bolts. They claim they'll hold up the truck.. maybe a slow, static lift using forklift forks in 2 locations on the slider...
I had the same question. I ended up using an upfitter to trigger parking mode on my dash cam and to trigger my AUX battery DCDC charger to switch from isolation (when engine off) to charging when engine on. The upfitter gave me a clean ON/OFF with no timer.
On the rear dashcam power source...
Good question. I needed something similar to supply parking mode 12v to my dash cam. I also needed it to trigger the Aux battery (for camping etc.) DCDC charger to know when the truck was running (to get charged) vs. turned off (and to isolate the Aux battery).
I tapped the fuse panel in the...
It's probably just a programmed word or cluster of words that trips the censor. Not old fart or someone in their tight whiteys censoring stuff from their basement.
I just picked a good reviews for the price ceramic off Amazon, did the surface prep decently for wax removal, the applied a couple...
Ha! I was trying to figure out why I got censored... What the heck did I say?
Too effing funny.
I said hard

on
(my paint).
Got a chuckle out of that.
Thanks. I am pretty ******* my paint. Pinstriping from PNW-like tight trails up here in British Columbia. So much so, I haven't been too fussed about paint. I did a DIY ceramic last year and it is probably due for a redo. I know the experts say not to wax on top of ceramic, just use a...
All great info. I'm not looking for the 2+ inches of lift. My '19 already has lift compared to the 17/18, I think. the Geisers or Fox 3's should give me a little, but not too much (like you've been playing with). I'd rather have it generally driveable and with the downtravel, vs. the lift with...
Yesterday I had a long driving day - for a lot of that I was dueling through the mountains on a fast highway with an L405. We weren't maxing out either vehicle, but we were both driving briskly. He had an edge in the tighter corners, and I clearly had a comfort edge on the rougher and undulating...
Thanks for all of the info you've posted! Very helpful. I am currently running stock and contemplating suspension upgrades. I don't want to waste my time/money or make anything worse. So many people provide 80% advice.
I daily it with 200 lbs and do remote trips with about 600lbs depending on...
I love the inREACH Nav as a backup and for non (and emergency) messaging. For primary nav it is pretty sucky even with the app. I just went with Gaia and am really happy with it. A local guy sells some nicely put together layers that complement backroads mapbook layers as well as some of the...
He was the Service Mgr. He said that from what he's heard, the original reflash caused some 'problems', but was updated. Based on this info, he suggested to wait until there was more reflashed to see if any other 'problems' resulted from the update.
From what I had seen on other sites, the...
I dropped by the dealership yesterday to discuss the PCM reflash. I don't have phaser rattle and generally fall into the if it ain't broke... camp. But I wanted to connect so if there was a problem down the road I had their take on the reflash.
He said - don't do it now. Although the reflash...
I agree with making sure the wife or caregivers know about the accident. I hate to see older people lose their licences, but hate more to see kids get run over. Not that this will mean an automatic loss, but his handlers need to know.
I use this insert to reduce the chance of braille parker...
