Following cuz I'm considering the setup you are going to. How much higher than stock are you now? Any pics, before, after? I'd like to be 2"-3" higher, but can the stock Fox shocks and oem control arms handle that without ball joint issues?
Hey @daytraitors care to elaborate on what you found there at Rock Auto? How are those OE replacement springs working compared to stock, now a year later? How much lift did they give you? Could you tell the country of origin, like China or USA?
I went on Rock Auto and could only find F150...
I've installed the Bushwacker cutout pocket flares on my silverado 2500 HD, and I'd really like them on my '14 Raptor too. Would you be so kind to post pics on how yours turned out?
Old thread but I couldn't resist ;) ! Painted the logos blue like yer truck!! Looks great. I'd bolt 'em on with wing nuts so you could take em off real quick if you're off-roading....
When you had your 6.2 rebuilt, did they upgrade any weaknesses, and if so, what are the problem areas? Like yours threw a rod, right? What mods made that fail? Were you supercharged?
Thanks for all the info Big Blue and Pacific Wheel. That JDM is a good one. So it sounds like I should first do my cat back exhaust, BBK TB (maybe?) and CAI before they setup the tune, right?
There's no question the JDM is a strong contender in my research, mostly what folks here have said. But does it really only have one do-it-all tune? Also, can I ask how your JDM tune works with your tow/haul mode or off-road mode?
Right now my stock truck upshifts too quickly on light throttle...
Hey G1TD, my 6.2 is totally stock and I can feel that throttle lag and downshifting hesitation when passing. Did your tune help that too?
On the 85mm Tb, I don't have much to go on but reviews and marketing graphs, however on one site, American Trucks, the reviews are almost all very positive...
G1 did you do any exhaust mod? Stage 3's actual dyno shows nice gains with the 85mm BBK TB. I was planning on doing the CAI, finding a quieter not loud cat back, but at this price it's like the TB is a throw in right?
Really appreciate the time, money and effort you put into this review @MattSVTM3, and since you've done all the engine bolt-ons I'd like to do, can I ask you, and any others that have done this, which would you do first and why, the tune, or the intake and exhaust?
Just picked up a clean stock...
Wondering if all y'all that got this Banks CAI if you could show/tell if this may have the ability to work with the larger 85mm throttle body without constriction? Is the neck down at the silicone TB boot so an 85 mm TB may fit with a larger silicone boot?
Thanks in advance....
Hi there @Crikk . Can you clarify which Raptor these shackles will work on and how much lift they provide for that year? I've looked at offroad alliance's site and couldn't find them.
What did you end up doing Christyle? Old thread but I'm in CA too, same dilemma. Didn't really want to buy a Banks tuner with CA EO. I've got a couple friends in NV I could send it to. Are you sayin' they won't do follow-up tune adjustments, like their 'lifetime tune' deal?
I've gotta resurrect this thread because I just bought a 2014 Raptor screw with 131k miles, bone stock and I've gotta open her up a little.
Does this seem like an awesome deal, to get the CAI, the 85 mm TB and the tuner for like $1,350?? You get the 5-star tunes with supposedly 'lifetime...
What big cooler did you use Blue? When you say 'Lee kit is worth it', do you mean that $1,500 full ps rebuild kit or a cooler from them?
Noticed this on the Lee site:
"FLUID RECOMMENDATION
It is HIGHLY recommended to use our specialty formulated Lee Power Steering Fluid.
AC Delco or Valvoline...
Is this the one from GJ?
https://offroadalliance.com/products/gj-motorsports-power-steering-cooler-package-2010-2014-raptor/
Good lookin' kit, and nice big cooler too. Worth the $100? My 2014 Raptor with 130k, stock ps pump is making that whine, esp in the morning, and in the past when a ps...
Yea really REALLY fun!! Hey when you find out which Whipple you've got @EasyDoesIt let us know! What'd be really interesting is to find out how much HP/TQ you're putting down on a dyno. I've messed around with Whipples a little and can tell you they're a very high quality blower. I can only...
I swapped the front end of my 2001 Chevy 2500HD Duramax with a 2005 GMC 2500HD because I liked the look of the GMC better than the Chevy, and I tell ya, to this day, 13 years later I don't regret it! It'll look great for another decade if you do this swap!
Here you go Captain'! It does look amazing, but it's a CRAZY amount of fabrication, which is fine if you're 'B is for Build', a full-time YT supported fabricator. After watching this I say I'll upgrade the headlamps, bumper and the grill of my 2014 Raptor. Maybe add squared-off Bushwacker pocket...
