Why not just build your tune with custom throttle position built in.... seems silly to waste an extra $300 for something you can do with a tuner already?
/facepalm
You guys wanted a solution, you were offered a perfect one, and you dont like it. so stop whining about IWE and deal with it.
you're worse then Jennifers
Go back 29 years? uhm... you realize EVERYONE else is still using a live axle setup right.... you dont have to go anywhere. they use it, because it friggin works. there ARE NO downsides when compared to what is available now on f150's. there are only positives.
as for your whole "Dear Ford...
have you not been reading this thread? Clearly not.
Go back to bed.
ford ditched the reliable, simple way of doing it. For the IWE. tell me how that makes sense. It has no added benefits, only negatives. GG ford, GG.
Long term parts sales outweigh short term warranty coverage. Not to mention most f150's would last till they are out of warranty due to smaller tire sizes/less harsh use.
Why else would they switch from a simpler, more reliable design? Guess someone at Ford must have been smokin on a crack pipe.
except you arent presenting the potential for more problems. You are creating less. always moving isnt a bad thing..... it keeps everything, all side, fresh. it doesn't get the chance to rest and create a "memory" point that rubber likes to do.
how much proof do you need? 3 other major OEMs...
it's not so much different parts. It's mass produced vs small batch production. same parts, mass produced on a large scale you have a much higher chance of running into quality issues.
yea, I am biased as the truck I own has a live axle front end. and I haven't touched the boots since i've owned the truck. there are no added wear issues. it's all BS. the constantly turning axles means all sides of the CV joint are being greased all the time. the boot always moving is a good...
what are those legit reasons? cause all ive seen is misinformation regarding live axles.
and high speed you dont need 4x4, slow technical stuff is where the stress comes from. Boot issues are unrelated to the IWE.
they arent making any money on raptors yet because they are still under warranty for the most part. They are making money off the earlier F150's by doing this though. as they have the issue as well ever since they switched to the IWE in 2004.
it happens to raptors more often simply due to the...
exactly. I don't see why people are scared of it. It just works. Maybe they like not having working 4x4? IDK?
His uses are harder on things than most peoples. and it held up for him great. So that should be proof enough that for less stress they will be ever better.
Did these shops tell...
