I was very careful installing mine to protect the finish. Hand wrenched and I coated the socket in Plast-Dip.

I think it would be too much work to apply, since you have to spread it with a wet towel. It also would only last a few months, so not worth the extra time.
Stick with Amsoil MPHD for the undercarriage. Easy to spray on and lasts years and years.
Yes they do. Really cut down on the crap ending up on the sides of the truck.
Here's a pic on the first install. The spray on the door was without the flap, and there is much less with the flaps on.
Installed a new set of Vortex Mud Flaps.
On the original ones, the screws were rusty, which left rust streaks, and I hate rust.
This new set had been on the bench awhile, which was lucky since I broke a flap at the dunes two weeks ago.

Make sure to get some Super VRT with your order, and use it on the flares, bumper and plastic trim to darken them up.
Install will be easy. Unless something has changed since I had mine installed, programming needs to be done by the dealer.
I would suggest getting the LED light, then mount it in the gauge cluster like Rick did on post 8 of this thread. Much more visible than mounting in the steering column...

The fronts are great, and I think they are an improvement over the WeatherTech, since the Husky has the lip along the outside edge to keep snowmelt from running off into the door sill, and then into the rocker to rust it out...
