I just replaced my battery and my truck is a 2017. Original battery mfg date was 12/6/16. Over 6 years old. Still was a good battery. Just wanted peace of mind when out in the middle of nowhere.
43 Gallon fuel cell is now in. I needed all the weight behind the rear axle. HM did an amazing job with the complete build. Here are some in process pics.
She is almost done. All that is needed is the rear brake caliper brackets for the Wilwood 6 piston rear brakes. HM has it set up for 1 spare to bolt down and when I need 2 spares, I strap the 2nd on top of the first. They barley were able to stuff 2 40's in there with the fuel filler right...
It cost a lot more. I wasn’t planning on doing anything to the rear suspension until I spoke with Kevin at HM. To make the truck as strong as possible, I realized it needed a new 4” rear end, trophy truck axles, 10” inch third member and a new driveshaft. On top of that, I added a rear fuel...
I am not linking it at this time. All these rear end upgrades are the same as a 4 link except the sprung under leaf springs. So if in the future I decide to link it, it will work and I am not wasting much money. It has 17” of strapped travel and this is with several more inches of up travel with...
Unless you have 450+ pounds in the bed all the time, I would go option 1. I had option 2 and with 400 pounds it rode pretty stiff. I had to add more weight by the tailgate to get it to be plush. I think option 1 will give you the best ride all the time.
When my Alcons were cold the braking performance was better than stock, just not a massive difference. Now when they are warmed up, Holy Crap they stop amazingly.
How much braking performance was lost with these pads? Both cold and warm?
It was crazy fast. I still have:
2 sets of BORA F-150/Raptor 2” wheel spacers. On the truck for 600 miles. $125 per set.
1 set of BORA F-150/Raptor 1.5” wheel spacers new in box. $150
