    Bronco Raptor

My thought is they did it like they did because they made them removable for serious off road and to be easily replaced if damaged. If they flared the sheet metal it would be subject to damage. I think it was the right call. Again, this model is not made for mall crawling, although you can...

GEN 1 Hi there, anybody try blac bear pass in Colorado? Any videos? I would like to try it but I would like some help. Thanks

I think they classify it as most dangerous because something like 27 people have died doing it. I would agree, it was 27 stupid people who died, but non the less, 27 people (maybe more) did die doing it. People panic, and if you make a mistake, it could be deadly.

GEN 1 Hi there, anybody try blac bear pass in Colorado? Any videos? I would like to try it but I would like some help. Thanks

I have done it several times in several vehicles. The Raptor is a little wide, but if you are an experienced off road driver and not terribly afraid of heights, you can do it. You should let a spotter help you through some of the spots. 4 low going down for control.

Desert Oasis Update! An Investor from Moab Visited the property, He’s in…

John promised to buy a 30% share of the bridge I have for sale. Anyone else want in? Great day on the trail and the views of Lake Mohave were spectacular. John is a great trail leader.

I have seen those views maybe 100 times, but NEVER that early in the morning. :shakehead:

Navigation Problem Solved - Thank You jzeweedky

Actually the phone is using the cell signal to get a location. It triangulates the signal, and that is why it jumps when the signal is weak, and doesn't work with no signal.

Navigation Problem Solved - Thank You jzeweedky

That is correct. But a separate GPS costs less and can power several devices. I run two Ipads, on for the Navigator and one for me, both powered by the same GPS. Plus I have a third for my RZR, so the additional cost of adding the GPS to each one was a lot. I am medium tech savvy, (know...

    Tire pressures

Tire, pressure and wheel thoughts It seems to me that there are a lot of questions on tires and wheels. I have never worked in a tire shop, but I have bought a lot of tires, wheeled off-road for over 20 years, belonged to a couple of Jeep clubs and have stayed at a Holiday Inn Express. Here...

Anyone know good spots to go in OR?

I was on the dunes by Winchester Bay this summer. Ran 14 psi and had a great time. Watch out for drop offs though.

Headed to Moab, Will these wheels & tires make it?

20" wheels are not ideal, but like smurf said, if you take it easy, you will be fine. Lower your tire pressure. There are a LOT of trails easier than fins and things, you might consider them. Onion creek is a very scenic trail, and the paved road out to it is also very scenic. Have fun.

    Test

"I messaged Big Blue and he said I'm not on double secret probation and wasn't sure what happened." So my question would be "why not?" :D

    Moab

This week the weather is fantastic (for this time of year) highs in the high 50s and sunny all day. Around freezing at night. Yesterday we used the Raptor to tow the RZR up to the start of the Mineral Bottom "road". Then we ran the RZR down Mineral Bottom to the Green River. Then went north...

    Moab

Took the Jeep and did part of the White Rim Trail which is Raptor friendly, but then did Lathrup Canyon, and while it was easier than the last time we did it a couple of years ago, I wouldn't take my Raptor down there. There was one big boulder in the middle of the trail, but people had stacked...

    Loose at high speeds

Another possibility, although remote, is loose lug nuts. They do loosen occasionally. Especially on aluminum wheels.

    Seat Belt Alarm Chime Disable

I did my 19 early on, and it is still disabled. It should work. I believe the owners manual has it as well, although I couldn't find it quickly.

A few more Desert Gems in need of New Home

    Moab

Used the Raptor to tow the RZR south to Cameo Cliffs today. Our favorite trail is too narrow for Jeeps and Raptors, but the RZR works fine. Then we did trail 5, most difficult, and survived.
