So today we used the Raptor to tow the RZR down to Flat Iron Mesa trail. We haven't done the trail in several years. It is rated difficult in the book, and it was. Normally I don't need to do the by pass on an obstacle, but because we were alone, I used all three that were available. Still...

In anticipation of the new RZR and the Bronco Raptor (both hopefully before the end of the year) I bought a new trailer to haul either. My old RZR trailer was too small for the new one, and since I needed a new trailer anyway, why not get one that call haul whatever I want. Like everything...

On Tuesday we had scheduled a Shafer Trail/Long Canyon trip with some friends that were coming to town. They cancelled due to illness, but we decided to do the run anyway. Picked up some rocks for the garden and had a great ride.

There was one in Grand Junction, but they added everything to it they could so they wanted 55K. I want to customize it MY way, so I said no. We leave Moab in about 3 weeks, so it will be fall at the earliest. I did buy a new trailer that will hold the new RZR and also fit the Bronco Raptor...

I do not back up as instructed (hard headed, do it my way), I make a 6 point turn going down and a 3 point turn going up on the backside of Elephant hill. I only used my lockers (rear only) going up that section so I wouldn't spin my tires.

Yesterday we drove down to Elephant Hill in the Needles district of Canyonlands National Park. It was a 170 round trip so I am glad the JK has a big gas tank. If this trail was closer to Moab I would do it often. Great scenery and several challenges. This was the first time with the JK and...

On Thursday we took the RZR and blew through Hell's Revenge and then drove up to the Castle Valley Overlook. On the way, we saw this "car" that had gone over the edge. It looks like a Prius to me, (one less Prius) but I might be wrong. Although where it went over was just a dirt/gravel road...

Doesn't get more vicious than Margi.

Yesterday used the Raptor to tow the RZR to Potash. Then went up the Shafer trail to the national park (no side by sides allowed), then did some exploring. Hiked up a canyon for quite a ways.

Next is "Galaxy" class desert guide. Show those space aliens around. :cool:

My parts have been on order for over a month, still driving the truck.

I am stuck at zero. New RZR might hear something this month. New Bronco Raptor not until the fall at the earliest.

Used the Raptor to tow the RZR 30 miles south of Moab to Cameo Cliffs. Did a couple of UTV trails (too narrow for Jeeps) to get us close to the "hole/arch", then went out to Agate Point. After that we did a black diamond trail. Great day and scenery.

Used the Raptor to tow the RZR up to Mineral Bottom Road. Then took the RZR down to the Green River and then 6 miles up Hell Roaring Canyon. It was a challenge in some places and we stopped because it would be more work than gain going further. Great scenery and some fun rock crawling.

I once heard an owner of an Exterra say that they were JUST as capable as any Jeep. This was from someone stuck in a line of them waiting for the first one to get up an obstacle. Took him 45 minutes to get up it, I made it up in 45 seconds with my RZR. But they had the capable vehicles. And...

I totally agree and try not to step on "the crust". What I have a problem with is the lying we are always subjected to. I guess they feel they have to lie to get the point across. I have seen the "crust" repair itself in about 1 year. Saying it will take a thousand years to repair is an out...
