Day 5: this was a leisure day at a couple of beaches. We took a boat out to a hidden beach and saw dolphins on the way out there, jumping out the water right by us! There is a video of the entire trip, will post that at the end where you can see the dolphins, don’t have any still photos.
Merely a scratch. No claim, will pay out of pocket to fix. It isn’t that bad in my opinion. Cost of having fun.
I continued to off-road in Baja, that wasn’t going to stop me! I just didn’t have 4x4. I was already ordering parts while at the hotel in Baja so they would be waiting for me when I...
Day 4: Couldn’t continue with toe so far out of whack, tire was squealing around any left turn. Found a place that allow us to work and I was finally able to get the toe in by eye to get the steering straight enough. Got to the hotel and waiting for everyone else to arrive.
Day 4: no trail time today. Got up early and started tearing things apart. They had a LCA in the parts truck with the trailer, that was awesome to hear. The pockets were so bent that we couldn’t get the replacement in and the metal above the pocket tore. They welded up the tear and we used a HD...
Day 3 (continued):
Right after the vado, come down on a decent size rock that ripped the LCA ball joint out, down went the passenger side. Rest of the group moved forward while the chase truck went back to where we had lunch to communicate to the trailer to come out to get me. Knowing the...
Day 3: Well after caves, we got some good speed and was hitting vados. Vados are a dip in the trail like a g-out that will launch you out of it, so hang on. Well I hit one and got air but that’s when things turned to the worst.
Day 3: Stopped at the caves to see the cave paintings. I have climbed up to it in the past and with my fat ass, I knew I didn’t want to do it again. Just relaxed why everyone else went.
Day 3: Hit dirt right away. Stopped at a beach for some quick relaxation and then to a ranch for lunch. After lunch as we went further down the trail, is when things went quickly south for me. Never really had any issues in Baja in the past but when I do it, I did it big.
Day 2: Drove a little ways on pavement and spotted along the road to take some pictures of our line up then went to the new coco’s corner to each lunch, tailgate style. Drove though a section with running water and stopped at the spring. Continued on to Bay of LA
Sorry folks for the delay on posting up pictures from the run. I have been working on fixing my raptor after the event. So let’s get started on some pictures.
Day 1: Cross through Tecate and hit dirt in less than 30 minutes. Went on a common trail that helped everyone get accustomed to the...
Nobody seems to support FRF vendors anymore. Before I worked for Freedom Motorsports I went out of my way to support FRF vendors. I have no idea why the community has changed over the years. ♂️
