Wonder if the tranny replacement had anything to do with it being a former dealer beater...Pretty low options will be interesting to see if it can get out of the 40s or not.
If they don't make a supercab gen 3 it'll probably be worth the same when the next person sells it too.
Did he not taste/smell the fluid to see what it was? May have been able to save the tranny if he had not stupidly limped it to the dealer with no fluid in it...not to mention incredibly dumb to drive on streets with the truck behaving like that.
Love the "muddy" engine bay shot like that was a...
Not for 2017-18 shocks anymore. The 19-20 use different shocks that require a kit to use with 17/18. The kit is a pain and rebuilds are also a pain as they aren't that much cheaper and it sucks waiting for shipping, rebuild, etc.
OP I'd buy new ones they are about $400 each at Tascaparts and...
gen 3 ADMs will likely continue through the second year of production like gen 2. Stock market is all time high, not much to spend money on for many, production is way down due to COVID. Add those up and you get expensive trucks. Trucks on dealer lots are financed so monthly inventory cost...
Thought that might be the case. Regardless, TRX is also stock I'm sure people will be throwing pulleys and tunes on there too and then even the tuned raptor will be left behind. Raptor R should be a lot closer.
Yeah that was really weird. Almost 8 seconds to 60 too. A stock gen 1 should be that fast. 200K miles have really slowed that truck down.
Impressive showing from the gen2 on 37s. Why not do stock gen 2 vs TRX I guess they are saving that for the next video...
If people are snowmobiling down the middle of this trail/road I'd be worried about the middle being packed down hard with your tires digging into the soft sides and then you end up sitting on your frame in the middle of nowhere.
I don't think you are going to find any dealers keen on selling a new truck for immediate export which isn't even legal in some states (they require vehicle in usa for six months).
Be prepared to pay way over MSRP if you can find someone willing to work with you...
This is not necessary true that carmax is a dumping ground for bad trucks. This person may have lost their job due to covid and looking to trade in for cash today or was looking to downgrade to standard truck...at carmax you can drive all the big three at once (or whatever car) and pick one...
Base engine? You mean the only engine, at least for 2021. There's only one option listed. So another year of reading about the V8 that is just around the corner.
The posters in the leak thread are also starting there will NOT be a supercab Raptor for gen 3.
I believe you can still purchase a Ford ESP outside of factory warranty, but you'll have to pay for an ESP inspection first.
Any phone call from an unknown number about vehicle warranties is a scam.
Love the folded sweater Hans Device. Odd that he chose not wear a helmet in the TRX one. Raptor landings were definitely a lot smoother probably bc the truck weighs a lot less and isn't so front heavy.
So if you wanted improved offroad performance where you didn't have to worry so much about breaking the truck, but still wanted a reasonable ride on road without a ton of clicking, is Round 3 decent enough or go 3A and drop another ~$5-6K for race shocks and UCAs?
Way out of range for a stock Raptor. The landing zone isn't sloped just hard solid ground so course the front end was gonna eat it.
The jumping of the TRX in this video is just a tool to generate youtube views and revenue. With nearly 1 million views in a two days good on him for being first...
It also doesn't list the 5.2L V8 either, yet I don't recall seeing any blogs point out that this means the 2021 Raptor doesn't have a bigger V8. That's not what the readers want to hear.
It's just a doc that might or might not be from Ford. Means nothing. We find out maybe Feb 3.
The interior of the new F150 is a huge step from current non 802a trucks and a little nicer than 802a. The Powerboost could also come with the onboard generator and the coil rear suspension is an upgrade. The leaked CAD designs show it will look pretty similar.
I would call it "upgrade when...
Wouldn't be surprised to a see a V8 option be supercrew only for the bigger gas tank and direct competition with TRX. Three engine options not gonna happen. Powerboost and maybe the V8.
The Raptor ESP is I believe the same price as a regular F150 work truck ESP, despite having all of the expensive offroad goodies. So it could potentially be underpriced by Ford? Most people are also buying the massively discounted plans from Flood/Ziegler.
Given what I have seen with cam...
A pair of new front shocks are about $840 shipped from Tascar parts. You could easily sell your used shocks for $100 each if in good condition (maybe even more) but let's call it $650 net cost.
Rebuild is $500 shipped for fronts. And then wait 30+ days to get your core charge back. So...
