I already converted mine, but it would be great if we can be reimbursed after the fact. Still not mad I didi it, it only cost me a SCCM as I already had the digital HVAC from my last truck.
I appreciate that, an I agree. They look superb in person. I ended up swapping out the lenses to the DOT fogs and DOT driving lights because I did not like the look of how the amber backlighting looked with the combination lens. It made it look a little wonky IMHO, like 1/2 was lit differently...
Finally got my custom graphics on. I wanted the exact size, color, and font from the 37" graphics package, jut not all the other "noise" those graphics come with. Added the matching colors to the front grill, rear appliqué, hood vent emblems, and tailgate emblems. I am very happy with the outcome.
I also installed a new SCCM for HSW and mine sometimes sticks, but when making a left turn, not right. It does not do it often and I feel it's been getting better with more use.
My day got away from me yesterday, so I won't have everything installed until this time next week. That and I changed to different lenses (same lights), so I have to wait for them to get here. I will be sure to post up pictures once i am done for anyone who may be interested how it comes out.
I can respect that, however in person it looks pretty great. The truck is rugged and these lights look like they belong on it more than the pretty little lights that came stock from Ford.
The fact that they tie in with the amber "Raptor" marker lights made the decision for me. I am not sure if...
I appreciate the feedback. I am not on the fence about wanting something on the truck, for that I am sure. I was merely looking for information from people who had the specific 37" graphics because I want to do something different with it.
This is my second Raptor, and both were dealer ordered...
Here is the backlighting in action
Here is the light connected to Aux 1 turned on
The inner pair is connected to the factory fog wiring so it will turn on by the headlight switch.
Thats it, Bob’s your uncle, super simple and resulting in an OEM fit and finish which I highly recommend...
In this photo you can see what the driver side looks like installed. Passenger looks the same, just mirrored (not shown).
Once I swapped out the lights, I re-installed each assembly back into the truck. I then ran the harness to connect the driver side (2) white wires for amber backlighting...
I just wanted to document how the install of my Diode Dynamics (DD) front amber backlit lights into the stock housing went for all those who are considering this upgrade. I will be installing the backlit rear lights tomorrow and I will update with how that went.
I do not use my truck off road...
Gonna be a good weekend! Specialty Performance Parts are absolutely great to deal with and I cannot wait to get everything in.
Front (4) Diode Dynamic combo - amber back-lit
Rear (2) Diode Dynamic flood - red back-lit
Up-fitter switch pigtail kit
All associated plug and play harnesses (front...
Sorry, wish I had more for you. It still seems to me that it’s not finishing syncing and giving you incomplete results. Did you confirm that you get the pop up window asking if you want to save the profile? This only happens after the sync is complete.
