It’s not really drone as much as it is excess exhaust note and at certain RPMs it sounds like crap. I tried multiple exhausts and they’re all similar in that way.
twister bottle style resonators will help but it’s going to soften the exhaust overall.
This is a very broad question.
what are your goals? More power? More reliability? Etc.
On a stock truck, the stock components work really well. Yes you can upgrade the intercooler and you’ll get less heat soak barreling through the dessert, but you certainly won’t notice a performance...
Use aluminum. You want the same metal so that the relative rate of expansion is the same. Doors are aluminum. On a really hot day you don’t want them getting loose.
I have an install happening next week as does some other folks. When I’m finished I’ll have some dyno charts and performance numbers as well.
A lot of folks are nervous about the Raptor on the dyno.
I just love the way you don’t play around.
you see it, you want it, you got it.
You lose the physical HVAC controls though. So just decide in advance if you don’t mind giving up the Knobs and buttons at the bottom. I am not sure I want to lose them yet.
My advice....
get the XR with the slotted rails. It really doesn’t look any less clean and it will add a lot of future function.
I regret not getting the XR rails. Now to swap them out is like 700 bucks.
the control buttons from inside the truck is epic. I don’t use that cheap, shoddy...
It’s looking good.
Did you use panels to block the door cut outs or something else?
If you don’t mind I’d love to see how you do the amp rack too. I’m an advanced audio hobbyist I guess is the description... I love getting ideas off of real professionals.
I’m going to jump in because we have the same setup.
if I did it over again I’d go with a FMIC and have a tight winch mount front bumper with a nice heavy Warn winch.
More and more I want to prepare my truck for the apocalypse.
The only major difference is
1024x768 last generation
1920 x 1080 new generation.
for the better screen... you lose AC control which is definitely a drawback for me too.
I’ll stick with what I have too.
The tablet has no influence over sync 3. If you were seeing a strange sync 3 state, the problem was with sync 3.
The only thing the tablet does is pass the information from the sync module through to the user, like a touch screen monitor.
If I had to guess, you needed to turn your truck...
I’ve never had any of those issues with the px6 but they did exist on the original px3 units.
linkswell is made in the same Shenzhen factory as Phoenix and all the rest. They just rebrand them and adjust the GUI to their preferences and then resell them.
The hardware is no better. The...
You’re right basically. I can’t dispute the truth.
However.... you lose satellite radio. You can stream Sirius without sync 3... but you lose the satellite link.
For me 2017, if I pull sync 3 out of the truck, I lose FordPass. How are you getting it to work with yours?
13” 1080P screen. Same processor and such as the last generation but a nice step up in resolution!

When the units first came out.... that speaker allowed you to hear Bluetooth calls connected through the unit while you were listening via the sync console. It also allowed for voice prompts from the preinstalled navigation software, again when using the sync 3 console.
the truth is no one...
Depending on the dyno.... the truck makes about 450 horsepower tuned. It’s a delta of around 80-90 rear wheel horsepower. The torque increases are greater, particularly at low RPM. This is on 93 octane.
There is no secret sauce. That’s the limit with stock turbos. Whether you use MPT...
