I've also seen where the wires inside the speaker sometimes come in contact with the cone. That will cause vibration/distortion sounds too.

I'd like to see that parts list from that shop for only $2500. The Zen unit alone retails for $720. The rest of the gear must be really low end since most shops charge around $1500-2000 for a full install job. Keep in mind that you'll most likely want to add in sound deadening at the same time...

There are more grommets on the driver's side so use them. If you want to drill your own hole make sure you don't hit anything behind it and then use some grommets to protect the wires. You can find them at any home improvement or auto parts stores.

Doesn't sound good and there is a reason why there are audio vendors here to help you guys. All those speakers don't have to be replaced for good audio but the whole system will need to be replaced for the most part.

So the parts costs with all the other parts needed to install that setup is around the price he said he would install it for so that's a good deal. Free labor is hard to find so I'm not sure if this is a real deal. The only issue is that sub isn't really all that much different than the stock...

You wouldn't necessarily get better audio quality with a head unit swap just saying. You would get a lot of benefit if you bypassed the B&O system using something like the NavTV unit. If you haven't already done this then this should be the next step.

The bi-amp mode doesn't work well in this truck for some reason. That could be a massive reason why are are not getting volume and the calls/nav sounds weird. I always recommend using this amp in a passive setup for this reason. Once you revert it to passive it will still sound great but now...

The DSR1 will have lots of issues. I'm starting to think the install didn't go well. I've installed many of these units without any issues that you've mentioned. Are you running it in bi-amp mode or going passive using crossovers? Did you adjust the gains after the tune? Did you tune the system...

Who said using the LC2i was just as good as using a dedicated bypass unit? I sure didn't and would appreciate you not trying to spread false rumors. I simply said you can add a sub if you wanted more bass without bypassing the whole system. Many have done this with success and love the results...

Yes you can simply add a sub and amp if you only want more bass. You don't have to replace the whole system but that is advised since most bass upgrades overpower the door speakers.
