Morimoto Announces NEW 2nd Gen XB Headlights for Gen2 Raptors

Appreciate it guys - just sent them an email. The headlights look nice - definitely need to adjust them for them to be superior to stock. Morimoto's packaging logistics department definitely needs improvement.

Morimoto Announces NEW 2nd Gen XB Headlights for Gen2 Raptors

That’s fantastic - thanks so much. For clarity - you pulled the 10a fuse that was there and inserted the cable? Does cable then act as fuse for both original purpose and lights? From a cable standpoint, did yours easily fit into the fuse block? Mine seems like it will need to be bent in. The...

Morimoto Announces NEW 2nd Gen XB Headlights for Gen2 Raptors

Question for those that have done this - where the hell do you connect the fuse cord to for the start up sequence? The fuse panel is completely different from that shown in the instructions and no raptor fuse is labeled DRL

Nice - do you have to set these up with a sequential blinker or can they blink like OEM?

Not having to stick your hand in your pocket ever to get in and start it is a huge benefit. Especially considering it is conferred every single time for every user, vs 3 extremely rare occurrences that can be avoided for the lifetime of the vehicle with a little mental exercise. A tangible...

You are arguing for arguing sake. Button is easier than key. Key is easier than crank. That was my point. Tell me something shitty about the button?

it is to the key start what the key start is to crank start. Progress. Nav is simply a lumped option like an unwanted cable channel plan

A Raptor, a Sunroof, and a Carwash Walk into a Bar...

I believe touchless car washes aren't bad on the paint at all. I've got one near my house that does well on the Raptor. I would avoid any place w/ brushes/rollers etc.

    Ok! I'm in...

Of Ford Dealerships, I've had the best luck with Larry Miller. Phil Long is a racket. That said, independent shops like Ken Caryl Imports or Swift Automotive have been my go to for everything non-warranty.

    Snow ski bed storage?

Rubber bed mat. Skis shouldn’t move around too much. I have my skis at the same angle and put other gear bags in the free corners

Morimoto XB Headlights vs. OEM LED - Lux Results

Are you able to light up a road from raptor headlight height with each? Garage test shows the brightness but it almost looks concentrated on the xb’s. It would be great to see the difference in a practical application and how much an extended area is lit if possible

Correct. Track has only about 1/4 of the weight

Is icing on the headlights an issue?

Depends on consistency of snow/slush. If it’s a salt slurry you may need to wipe them down now and then - like any vehicle Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
