could be - I was looking at the instructions on their website. Should have paid more attention prior to install. Perhaps someone could clarify if the gen 2 lights truly only have one point of adjustment?
It was forged and their predecessor company. Two sets, road use only, both with a front shock leaking in 10k miles.
can’t speak to the Texas rebuild company, but again you are likely out only 500-1000 more for brand new. I was dumb to pinch pennies on that, wasn’t worth the hassle and I likely...
Aren’t there a couple others? Left/right and high beam? I found mine were basically good on those thankfully since I couldn’t get to them without removing the housing partially
did need to come up a lot on the top adjuster but that was easy
Had leaking rebuilds a couple times. If I’m in the position again I’d just find some new ones to buy from tasca or rock auto and resell the old ones.
I did the shock exchange also, and what I got were way worse condition wise than what I sent
Drive in a blizzard in CO. 10 alerts in 10 miles. Almost put my fist through the screen. No shit its hazardous - Im in it. Whats more hazardous is having to take my hand off the wheel to clear the warning. Massive design fail.
I get that everyone keeps saying this, but it’s not just a half generational update. The rear end, 37’s, increased travel have this thing being a bigger jump from gen 2 than g2 was from g1. That said, at least in photos, it is not as good looking
Gen 2 wins exterior, 3 wins interior and suspension. If they were on the lot for exactly the same price it would be hard to pass up a gen 3. Having a gen 2 I don’t see changing in the future. Love my truck
engine would have to be tuned for it to have any effect - assuming its even possible. Which would void warranty. Might as well just do a Cobb tune and get way more
I believe fordtechone posted the torque limits of the transmission in another thread. Assuming it’s the same box, there’s not a ton...
how do you figure when sites like thedrive post reviews stating they prefer the raptor gen 2 off-road to the trx, and the gen 3 is superior to the gen 2. For an off-road purpose truck it seems the trx is already beat by the base raptor
unless of course all you care about is pavement 0-60, in...
The entire point of the raptor is off-road dominance, where seeing as the gen 2 was neck and neck with the trx, this thing curb stomps the trx. You can be disappointed in the looks, but the rear end, 37’s, and some of the trail features are a pretty big deal. You want a v8 poser truck, dodge...
Confirmed standard raptor this summer and (likely V8) R model next year. Shitload of jumping vs. the TRX debut. Im sure further details will come out this week.
When I spoke to Deaver, I stated I carry a snowmobile in the back 12 times a year, few other occasions have it loaded, but besides that it has a tonneau and that’s it. They recommended HD’s. So that’s what are sitting in my garage. I was going to go eibachs in the front but now I’m thinking I...
I don’t understand the logic behind 37’s causing a denial of transmission warranty. Specifically if it’s a lighter 37”, with aftermarket wheels you could be lighter than stock weight with oem beadlocks
I had the understanding those spare fuses were an always on state, similar to the headlight wiring. I figured the logicboard controlling the lights themselves dictated when the power was drawn. The surround isn’t on with the truck off, only when you turn the headlights on manually or when the...
Got the "Bugatti Sequence" and DRL line hooked up. Here is what I did - and what works on my truck. Bought Micro 2 adapter from NAPA, bought 7.5A micro 2 fuse, put in top slot (to lights).
Fuse 14 on the Raptor is a spare 15A, always powered slot (doesnt require ignition, same as headlight...
Took some comparison pics. The lights look sweet. As far as noticeable light output, it is superior clarity at distance especially. Look at the objects in the distance in comparison shots. Up close, the stockers almost appear as bright. Width the Morimoto's are better. I'd place the visual...
What doesn’t make sense to me is it is literally the raptor specific sku (with amber surround). They have another sku with white surround for non raptors. I’m fine with having them be cross compatible, but it’s a bizarre choice to have it set up from the get go for non raptors and not even...
