I was looking at K02 prices for when the times comes and they were $1647 shipped from Tirerack to me. Then comes the headache of getting them mounted and balanced. I decided to see if there were any bargain take-offs around locally. I was specifically looking for the OEM forged beadlock wheels...
Thanks, Nex!
Amperage and that single LED were definitely on my mind.
I wasn't sure if I was missing an obvious easy path to using the up fitters for this. I appreciate you heading me down the right path.
That's true. I could think of a few workarounds like that, but I was hoping there was a way to utilize the upfitter area since there is about zero chance I will ever add enough accessories to fill them up.
Not sure anyone has done what I am considering here.
I installed the missing ambient lighting in my 23 a while ago and I'm not convinced I enjoy the light coming from the media bin. I was thinking I would love the ability to turn it on/off when I want rather than it being on all the time.
Is...

yikes. I would contact whoever you got them from and get the set replaced. I'm not sure there even are OEM ones for these trucks. I could be wrong there though.
Not really worth asking since I can see the photos, I'm sure you noticed they are side specific, right?
Slick setup!
As with most card mods, I'm torn here. I feel like I have absolutely no need for this and simultaneously I'm not sure how I will survive another day without it!
In the chance I don't come to my senses and cave to my weak minded impulses for a quick dopamine hit, is this the...
There are seven you need to change, not 8.
The eighth option is if you want the setting to show in the Sync 4 screen you need to go into the APIM and change the one referenced in the notes.
The other notes about up/down are just the instructions on how to make it work once you've changed all...
you need to buy a harness. info on who to email for that is in this post:

More than happy to help out anytime! I was sweating it a bit thinking I forgot a few steps, but it went really smoothly. You are hands down one of the more fascinating people I have ever met!
Note to others, if you get a chance to meet Draptor13 in person...take it :)
Ultimately, no. If it were just about MPG, tossing the highest octane in would make the most sense without much debate.
As someone who has only put 93 in mine, I was more questioning whether the benefits are there for running 93 vs 87 if the engine internals are warrantied out to 175k. The...
I had the exact same dripping issue several times on my 2019. It was odd because it never seemed to happen in torrential type rain. The few times I noticed it, it was after moderate rain.
Exactly why I chose a truck with no sunroof this time around. Sorry to see they haven't fixed the issue.
Totally agree. Not a huge savings, but over the nine year warranty period it's $4,000 towards the warranty. I guess thats where my debate comes into play.
I could just keep running 93 and buy the warranty (that was my plan until my wife tossed a wrench in the mix.....as she tends to do at times...
Time to revisit my thread here quickly.
Disclaimer: I broke my foot a few weeks ago and am bored out of my mind. Forgive me if I am not thinking correctly.
I was chatting with my wife about how much I like this truck and how much of a lemon my 2019 was and we got to discussing Ford Protect...
The "- -" is checksum data.
You shouldn't need to adjust anything there. Forscan handles that automatically after you make whatever adjustments you are making elsewhere. My understanding is that if you get a "checksum" error waring to just ignore it and "write" anyways. Forscan should make the...
Everything you really need is summarized perfectly in this post:

No jumpers involved or anything like that. The trim comes off with relative ease.
Check the other link posted above from this forum in the interior sections. it's super helpful.
I also found this link that is pretty detailed on trim removal etc for this job...
Post #219 will show you everything you need to get the heat working in your 2023. I just did it a few days ago. Incredibly easy swap. After doing it once, I'm guessing I could swap all the necessary parts in under 20 minutes now. While you have everything apart, you may want to consider adding...
Definitely an option, but when I researched this all back in May, the guaranteed headache-free route was the non digital version, so I purchased those at the time. It's what I had anyways, so I was used to it. I wasn't interested in potentially causing coding headaches for myself. I was nervous...
Finally have a heated steering wheel, media bin light, illuminated cupholders, and glove box light. Pretty straight forward job and everything seems to be working fine.
