Have you ever driven in the mud or on a lot of gravel roads? You would be surprised at how much dirt a radiator can hide between the fins, I would take it to a car wash and pressure wash(without bending the fins) the radiator and condenser coil really well and see if any sediment pools beneath...

Without seeing the wiring, best guess is to disconnect the negative cable on the battery first, then cut the wiring close to the light, if there is 1,2,or 3 wires put some heat shrink on the end of each wire and use a lighter to shrink it tight. Then just wrap the wires in black electrical tape...

Sounds like you will be okay. There hasn't been a lot of complete engines replaced, but there has been a few mentioned on here over the years for one thing or another. Keep us informed on whats going on and if you can get pictures of the owrk being done on your Raptor, we love that stuff.
