I think it is so you can hide the wire and route it behind the dash to somewhere you have something mounted and not have it hanging down to the console. I also saw where people would plug in an ipod and hide it in a glovebox or somewhere else. But the OP will have to confirm.
The 4 digit number is your order number. You will need that if you contact ford performance for a status. Check out the sticky at the top of the forum for all the information about how to track your order.
I Dont know of any way of making this go away without completing an update. You will either have to connect to a WiFi network or complete the update via a USB key. Maybe if you go into your settings and turn off "automatically update" that will cause it to stop.
Do yourself a favor and drive both. I am genuinely shocked at how much better the 19 drives and it just feels tighter all around. Then work your best price on both and decide if it’s worth the delta. Real deals are popping up on 19s so it may not be that much difference. Especially if you are...
I agree! I guess that’s why we have pedal commander. I also hate the auto stop / start but as we all know there are fixes for that.
I don’t mind it holding shifts when I drive on the street. I hated the way my 17 drove in sport mode and I love the way the 19 drives in sport mode. I’m...
Just installed mine last night, so much easier on a 19 with the plug right there at the mirror. I used Black for hot and Green for ground, didnt have an issue with my detector coming on with autostart, so this worked for me.
No just switched to sport mode and it was just awful. Transmission was smooth as glass in normal mode. Now with the 19 it just shifts a little harder, like it has a shirt kit but smoother. Loving this 19
Don't know if anyone else has experienced this, but as it has been discussed at length here, sport mode on my 2017 just wasn't fun to use because of the violent shifts, especially 6-7 in my case. Picked up my 2019 last night and tried sport mode after about 40 miles of driving and while the...
Thanks for the great advice. I would if I weren’t traveling and away from the truck. Appreciate those that could give the feedback. Thanks again for your useful post
Hopefully I can just go into my key on the dash screen of my 17 and remove it then it will be free to be added to the new truck. Thanks for the feedback
I bought one of the 18+ keyfobs for my 17 and programmed it. Now I’m trading in my 17 for a 19 and would like to keep that fob as a 3rd key. Is there a way to disassociate it with my 17 and then reprogram it to my 19 as a 3rd key or is it a one time use for one truck only deal?
My version says 2.0 and the ford owner page connected to my VIN says I have the latest version? Feels like I am a couple versions behind here but according to ford I have the latest?
