My 2014 RaptoR has a issue with the fan speed when using the AC during hot weather where I must turn the key to on, wait 3+ seconds, then start. I think a driver doesn't load properly if I jump in and start. Does not happen every time but often enough to be anoying. When it happens I turn the...
Anti-seize on spark plugs is not recomended, you want full contact with the block for a good ground. If the OP has deep pockets and as stated he was pleased with the work done, the truck is running good so all is good.
Bumping this to add that I would be open to trades. A few things I would be interested in are:
Gen 1 True beadlock rings
New Raptor OEM takeoff tires
17-18 Raptor OEM takeoff shocks
The solenoid is the same as the 2014 RaptoR

I've tried every kind of carwash there is in the 10+ years I have owmed my RaptoR and always chose the wax and sealant cycle. I enjoy hand washing the truck so that is how it has been done 80-90% of the time and I use Meguiar's wash&wax only, the stuff is amazing.
What I've learned about driving a select shift automatic in the ten years of driving my Gen 1 RaptoR to make it not feel so sluggish. In town where the speed limit is 40 or less I lock out the overdrive gears, in my case that is 5 and 6, for more spirited driving I add in tow/haulass mode. As...
Why in the hell would you take a brand new Raptor to discount tire instead of the dealership where you bought the truck? After market wheels? If so and they could not balance the wheels in two attempts take it somewhere else.
I saw a beautiful K5 this morning while eating breakfast at Waffle House. My high mileage Raptor is not for sale but an offer of $57.5k would get my attention, just saying. One of my grandsons(age 13) who loves the Raptor as much as I do will more than likely end up with it in a few years.
That is what my supplement says also, I think this is what the newer generation Raptors call for. I have not done the fluid change on my Raptor yet but think the 75w-140 is the correct weight. The supplement also says to use 4 oz of friction modifier in the front diff. if equiped with the Torsen...
A Gen 1 in excellent condition can be worth $36K as the MSRP was north of $60k on a fully loaded 2014 with factory bedliner. All stock Raptors rode really well from the factory reguardless of what generation they are, they were designed that way, well manered on road and off road capable.
The steering racks for the Gen 1 Raptors are based on cab type, the Screw and Scab, so make sure you have the right one.

Had some Rain-X on hand that I got at christmas so I gave it a try yesterday. I followed the instructions and was not blown away with the results initially. Buffing with a dry cloth did not get the product off the windows to my liking so I ended up spraying water on them and drying with a...
It is obvious to me that you maintain the doors and door jams very well so I doubt the seals are the issue. That said, you can tighten the seal by running surgical tubing through the center of the door seals.
