Ford replaces the whole unit I believe, I would go with moog ball joints Etc. much better quality And have a grease zerk fitting. it needs to be removed to install the new ones...
Question for you, does the accesport from the gen 2 work with the gen 3? Or once the OBD port is unlocked will we need to purchase another newer access port?
Yes they do, They fight A lot of wind around 125 but get close to 135 before I backed out of it can’t remember exactly as it was a few years ago and it slowed down like I dropped a anchor; I Was chasing 3 R8‘s in Mexico.
It’s all parts and a minor face lift BUT, if you like the 23 just get a used low milage one when you’re ready. I think you just get the new one and get used to the style. Yes it can be done, no don’t do it.
Mine has gotten stuck in 4wd if I stoped shifted it out to 2wd and then back up. It said 2wd but def was in r4wd. It seems it needs to roll forward about 20-30 ft to release the system. Make sure your tires are at 38 warmed up.
