I change oil in my vehicles when the odometers turn over another 5000 miles. Easy to remember when it's time- 40K, 45K, 50K etc.
I write the number of quarts needed somewhere underhood so I don't have to look it up.
Everything gets Supertech 5W-30 full syn oil so I only have one type of oil...
I considered the AT3Ws when I got my RGs, but I've always considered Falken tires to be bottom end tires in general. I knew they were realated to Sumitomo, who also made cheap tires for years. I guess they've gotten better
Wiki says:
"Falken Tire is a brand of passenger car, light truck, and...
Most people don't sell a 3 year old vehicle unless it has problems. That's about the worst point on the depreciation curve, minus the second it's driven off the lot.
Same was said for repairing aluminum bodies. Plenty of guys here have no problem buying an $85K aluminum truck that tend to be totalled pretty damn easily as well.
The repairabilty is overblown- how many cars/trucks get into wreck that severe anyways?
He said he used a volt meter. That means you go one by one and figure out what each wire on the stock harness does using a meter. Have someone hit the brakes on and off and find the wire where the voltage is going from 0 to 12V and back to 0. Repeat for all wires until you know what they...
Just think of one door. The window and all of it's parts, the mirror, switches, lights, speakers, safety items, weatherstripping, mouldings.... There are a LOT of parts in a car. Ford is wise to reduce the number whenever possible.
What exactly are they defining as a "part". An actual part...
All acendotal stories. Conversely my 10 year old Raptor has never mechanically failed or leaked water into the interior.
In general the F150 lineup is extremely reliable and durable in every aspect. Up and down the line, all of the engines, transmissions and axle combos are strong. The...
In a panic stop, there's basically zero time betwen your foot hitting the surface of pedal and the piston fully bottoming out in the master cylinder.
I believe the brake boost is for people who just don't fully push the pedal to the floor in a panic stop and get into rear end collisions they...
There is a check valve (PPRV) on alot of Ford fuel systems that prevents the fuel from flowing back into the tank. It's in the tank, right after the pump(s). Not sure if the Raptors have that as I've never been in the tank- be it might be your issue if it does and it's stuck open.
Fix your own broken junk. Cars aren't complicated. It's all nuts and bolts. Lefty loosey, righty tighty.
I'm just saying you spent way more time online typing on a message board about this than the time it takes a normal person to swap the part.
You still bitching about your $250 CV joint in your $75000 Raptor?
The same Raptor you clearly have spare funds to modify as well?
Could have swapped it myself 10 times by now.
Everytime you drive your truck the heat put into the tires cause them to get harder. Sometimes the lack of grip at the end of life is a bigger deal than the tread depth.
I've replaced 2 different sets of tires that simply aged out- there was tons of tread left because the rubber had become so...
You won't find new OEM parts for something that is 10+ years old in general.
I did find dozens of brand new 6.2L Super Duty engines for sale for approx $6K a few weeks back when someone else was looking though.
The engine will likely outlast the body, so I wouldn't sweat 180K miles. If you...
Used is your only option. 12th Gen trucks haven't really hit the junkyards yet en masse, so you'll have to find one that has been wrecked.
My favorite junk yard search engine- if you are willing to pay to get it shipped... www.car-part.com
"Interior door panel, front" is what you are wanting...
