My advice is to take a slow video walk around of the truck in when you drop it off.
That way you can easily prove the ding wasn't in the door when you brought it in.
The same deal on 2020s was available at *many* dealers in late 2019. Guys got trucks for invoice and below invoice as well- not a lot, but some did.
Life is all about timing. He timed it right getting the 2020 at MSRP. You are not timing it right looking for a 2024 Raptor R at MSRP.
You quote OldFart's post like you are going to get the same deal on an R and that's not going to happen. He was talking about ordering a 2020 model. Gen 2 Raptors weren't exactly hen's teeth in late 2019. They had been produced for over two years with basically no changes. A lot of people...
Ram is not competiton. The body will rust out, it's heavier, has less power, plus it's a Ram. 2024 TRX is the last year as well, you would be buying vechicle with no future parts wise. They are killing production of the TRX's engine. Ford is jsut getting going with the S/C 5.2L.
The dealers...
Ford dealers have the best half-ton truck ever made, with no competition. You think they are going to sell it to some random person for MSRP? The have tons of rich friends and customers who will chump up the money to get it.
$25K is a fill up of the fuel tank on the "boat" for those guys.
Sounds like you could get a lot more miles out of your tires if you did rotate them. I know not eveyone wants to run tires to the bitter end though. New rubber is more grippy for sure.
You wight want to up your front tire pressure a bit if the shoulders are wearing fast. Not for wear...
I'm sure they do on your truck, I'm not doubting that. Everyone's use case is different.
In general though- that's not the case. Fronts get eaten up quickly by most people simply by the way they park. They turn the wheel while sitting still, then move. That one thing just destroys front...
Used to only be the first 10 miles or so back in the day. Kept the lot guys and transporter guys from having all the power available.
WOT ASAP is the way to go for "break-in" of engines. Hammer that shit as soon as you can and seat the rings!
There is nothing to break in on an engine since...
You are wearing them the other way now, cutting the high areas of tread and scalloped areas down. I can see them making more noise for a while in that case.
My Gen 1 with 60% as much power, 4 less forward gears, and a lower payload rating tows everything I've hooked up to it just fine.
As long as you don't expect to tow your mobile home- sorry, your "travel trailer" around behind you, you will have no issues towing with a 2024 Raptor R.
$950 a light isn't exactly "junkyard prices". Are you really going to drop $950 on a used light? It might leak moisture, might be ready for it's $$$ module to fail, etc....
U-Pull-N-Pay in Cincinnati sells tailights for $28 each. 3% of the price you listed. You'd be lucky to find a 09-14...
Good luck with that.
The trucks with those lights are not in the junkyard, and won't be for at least another 15+ years.
The few that are wrecked so bad that would put them there now, nothing is usable. Only a roll over puts a $80K truck in the junkyard- and at that point it's all destroyed...
It's a Permatex product. There are stronger RTVs, but I like it for diff covers.
The greys would be the next step up if you wanted something stronger. They are harder to clean off though. So if you plan to pull it again, you might not want grey RTV. If you plan to install something like the...
