There are several threads on here that have good information and plenty of pictures on this very topic. You may need to search for wheel offset instead of backspacing, but it shouldn't be hard to find.
I like the idea of a private sell as well, but you have to also consider the extra sales tax you will end up paying when you buy the new vehicle. Where I live sales tax is 8% so there would be a tax "savings" of $4k if they give you $50k for your trade which is conservative IMO.
I agree with 2014RubyRed about staying away from the '17 until all the bugs are worked out and I think a fully loaded Screw will cost 65k or more.
I think most dealers will only offer you about $36k for your '11 Scab, but you should be able to get a '14 Screw for around $52k. No matter how...
