Yes, 22's and 37x12.50. And it rubs right here when the wheel is turned
Raptor R has the same clearance as the GEN3 37 truck. Which should have a little more clearance than my customer in these pics who has a GEN3 35 truck.
Hey @Kurator my customer with the Velgen Forged wheels test fit his setup today.
10" Wide +06
37x12.50 Nitto Ridge Grapplers
Minor rubbing with stock suspension. Will report back after 1" collar but he thinks that will fix the rubbing.
FYI this a 35 package. So possibly, you could squeeze this...
We're a little too small to give anything away at this point. However I'm kicking around ideas for discounts in exchange for professional pics/videos etc... but definitely can't give anything away. We'll see how these look when they arrive and go from there.
@Kurator everything @TXRaptor37 is saying is pretty much correct. Most simply put it breaks down like this
+00 = run a 37" BFG KO2, nothing bigger
-12 = lift or trimming with any 37"
+12 to +30 = 37" Nitto or Toyo or any true 37 for that matter. It might be close but should clear for street driving
@EndlessEight The OEM 315's will clear with the 601BL specs. I haven't seen any other wheel companies making anything too similar. We don't sell VR but you might try Nick over at Apollo Optics. He sells a lot of VR wheels.
@Kurator more poke does equal more UCA (upper control arm) clearance but you'll probably rub the fender liner when you turn if you go too far out. Especially with 13.50's. That said, there are really good shops that can essentially create space by pulling the liner towards the fire wall without...
I'd stick with 37x12.50 and an offset no lower than zero if you want zero mods/trimming. You still might rub in certain situations depending on the tire brand/model. +00 is 1.5" out from the stock wheels. Like this
This is -12 but you would have rubbing
@Hemmy Brixton Forged makes amazing wheels. We're not a vendor of theirs but a good customer purchased a used Ferrari 488 with Brixton wheels. Fit and finish was so nice. That said, the truck wheels start at 18" and starting price is roughly 2k per wheel.
Forged Friday
A new design I have in the works. Couple of sets coming in late June. One black set and one brushed titanium. If everything looks good I’ll be bringing in larger quantities. Just making sure the finishes are what I’m expecting. Brushed finishes will be custom order order only since...
@benbachh The 13.50 would certainly help with the extra poke but I'm just a little concerned with UCA clearance. Any chance the tire shop doing the install would try a 13.50 for you?
It would depend on the 13.50 tire you use. Some run really wide like the Toyo MT which is closer to 14.50. For reference the +18 will give you .25" more inner clearance over stock.
@Warpath @BaseModelRaptor I believe those are the Hennessey wheels. And I'm pretty sure they're only sold by Hennessey. They do look similar to the Icon compression though. But the Icon's are 20x10 -19.
True, but with the Braptor weighing 5700 and having 37's this thing should be pretty quick. It would be awesome if it was around 4500 like the regular one but that might make it quicker than the F150 Raptor.
Looks legit. 405hp and 430ft lbs is solid for a midsize truck. Safe to say it will be the king of this segment unless Toyota has something special planned. But it looks like they'll have just have an overlander trim. Probably underpowered...
@McCarthy I guess it’s kit dependent. And a solid axle does have its limits. But I’ve witnessed some dominator kits crush it in the desert. But that’s the top of the line kit.
Here is a good comparison on a 2.5” pintop vs stock raptor for the OP
Another vote for Carli. I've seen a few Carli equipped trucks keep up with stock Raptors. CJC Offroad builds a lot of Carli rigs. They have a huge inventory of Carli kits as well. I'd hit them up. They're out of Long Beach.
As someone that sells to many dealerships, they vary tremendously when it comes to warranties and views on aftermarket parts. They probably aren't suppose to but they do. The local one would try to deny a faulty windshield wiper motor if you installed an aftermarket bumper. Then I have the...
Went to a couple local glass shops and my to my buddies body shop to see what his glass guy says about the repair. Apparently the cable snapped and is bound up in the motor or regulator. I forget which one he mentioned. It's quite the job for the motor/regulator replacement. Approximately 6...
