The 2017's run around the same time 0-60/QM as a Supercharged Gen 1*depending on tune boost etc. So, they are quite quick stock
Same towing capacity for both generations.
#3. I've had a handful of ecoboost vehicles over the years. One is approaching 70k miles with no issues. Maybe long term...
Congrats on the purchase. They are amazing trucks.
You get hooked to the trucks in no time.
Speaking of anything, you can run an Oasis report for us mentally unstable folk?
I usually go to my guy at a Ford dealer, but he recently left for another dealership.
Well, good luck getting a new transmission for free unless the truck really needs one.
Even getting an extended power-train warranty will cost you.
Is there not another dealer close by?
Have another place look at it, it seems that dealership doesn't care to figure it out.
Don't they warranty parts for 1 year or 12,000 miles?
I know when my parents expedition had back to back trans issues out of warranty, the second trip to the dealer was covered by that 1 year warranty/dealer probably fucked up the install.
Try another dealer. Sounds like the guy working on...
I know it's for a different engine/and knock sensors(?)/technology but 91 was the minimum for the GT500's, Lightnings, Terminator etc...
Top dog vehicle with boost needed 91+ to not run like shit/detonate.
This truck is a 3.5L TT High output engine. It's performance based/tuned. To me, it's a...
Depends. Do you care for extending the warranty, or plan to do engine mods that would void the powertrain section?
Could go with a certified one from Ford which gives you the option to get the Premium ESP even if the 3/36k expired...
Save some money and just buy a whipple/roush blower and find a good shop/tuner.
I have no experience with them, just from the outside it seems like one hell of a markup for the Shelby name.
While not defending KBB, I would say the 3k difference between a 13-14 Raptor is about right when both trucks have the same options/miles.
At least in my searches.
I feel like the OP is the one of the few that got an non 802 optioned truck.
So many of those on the dealer lots. Did you spec your truck out, or was it on the lot as a 800/801.
Speed and burnouts in a Raptor?
IIRC even in the regular F-150, the Ecoboost isn't that great towing either. Want to say the 5.0 did better towing in regards to MPG.
Even without a Raptor atm, I'm having a hard time justifying a Gen 2(at current prices) over another Gen 1.
Yes, faster, nicer interior and beefier suspension, but there's just something about the Gen 1 that I like. Also doesn't help that the cost difference is easily 20-25k apart comparing a...
It's a high demand vehicle. Dealers can charge what they want.
Want one but don't want to pay ADM? Wait. Seems like there's enough people in Cali that are willing to pay said ADM to rock the truck either in the desert/Starbucks.
Interesting from Mullinax.
I know a salesman there, father has dealt with him since the late 80's. A month or so ago he couldn't get the higher ups to drop the 5k ADM.
Maybe now they are more willing?
Yea, it's tough to find good shops in general for certain vehicles.
Back when I had the Lightning, you could find Mustang tuners on every corner, but only a few guys that could tune a Lightning to it's max potential and still be a relatively safe tune.
I hope everything works out for you, and...
