So far I like them a lot. Put around 80 miles offroad so far on them from mud, clay, sugar sand and packed.
Probably could of done the run all in 2WD as they hooked well uphill in sugar sand but I slowed down to a stop and had to go to 4wd high to continue.
Grooves clean well from mud and...
Wheels are subjective to personal taste.
Stick to a 17 or 18" if you plan on offroading a lot.
As for tires, it's also an area where you have to compromise in one spot to excel in another. Most A/T's are good on the road and have all around decent offroad abilites but can get stuck in the mud...
Interesting that you have to call Ford about extending the loaner.
While Ford was looking over an engine issue on my 3.5TT Explorer, I was given a loaner for around a month. An engineer/tech from Ford supposedly came out too at one time.
Never had to call FMC or anything to keep it past a...
It may hold it's value a bit more than other SCABs, due to the rarity, but IMO not hat much more. It'll still be years before these would be considered collectible.
Right now, most truck buyers want a screw, which is why the values for the SCABs are always a bit lower.
But yea, they are hard...
1. I want to say if the previous owner ordered from Roush/authorized dealer then there may be no tuner as the ECU was shipped off and flashed for the "canned" tune.
2. Yea it's a tough situation that I would just want to fine comb search the front end. Might of been very minor but went through...
1. Make sure if it has a tuner you get it. Since it was installed after the fact and either went with the roush base tune or installed and tuned by others. May be a flashed ecu if it is the stage 1 tune. Wonder if the plugs were done.
2. Double/triple check the front end. Have you gone...
You buy that Roush Gen1?
Or that avatar looks really close to the one that just sold in FL.
I mean, the Gen 2 has better stock suspension, interior, transmission, tech and engine(if comparing to NA 6.2).
It's a true upgrade over a Gen 1, which is still a very nice truck.
If it wasn't...
To the OP I went with a Roush on my 13. If I do the same thing with the 14 it will be the whipple.
Nothing wrong with the roush, but the whipple to me is a much efficient/more capable blower.
Unfortunately the loaner car issue is a dealer to dealer problem.
I've gone to some, only once, where they didn't offer a loaner and then others where they would throw you into a brand new Gladiator(Dodge/Jeep dealer) or a Lariat F-150 ASAP.
The service techs too can vary quite a bit. I go 50...
I just replaced OEM BFG KO's on my 14. Still had good life on them but I just don't trust the dry rot and well the KO's suck in the rain/wet roads.
I was stuck between the Mickey's P3s and ST MAXX's.
Went with the ST's after I found a good deal on them (Manufactured on the 2nd week of 2019...
Yea, almost every builder in Florida builds ~19' garages now.
The floorplan sometimes says 20', but that's a clear roundup.
Next house will be custom, but a few years away.
No real differences between a 13/14. Other than colors.
I would just not buy that truck if you are considering taking off the blower. A lot of money to do so, to downgrade back to stock levels, unless you do it yourself.
It just comes down to how hard the previous owner drove the truck. Was...
Maintenance wise both trucks will be the same for diffs, transfer case, oil etc...Only difference will be the shocks for the Raptor will cost more for rebuilding.
Reliability is a crapshoot, and I don't mean that in a negative way.
I've read enough forums for any truck that have some get 100k...
Make sure you have a spare power steering pump with you if you go offroading.
37's + stock PSP = better chance at blowing the pump if you go full lock/hard day off road with turning.
That's good to read. Only lasted 40 days on my new to me RR SE before I gave in and got those tires.
Didn't want to commit to a true M/T this time as I liked the STT Pros(terrain Raptor) but they took a few shops to get it to run "smooth" on the highway.
There's actually quite a few Raptor owners in Tampa on this forum.
Are you on the Southeast Raptor Page on FB?
Bit more active there for request like these(hopefully).
I won't be in that region for another 2 weeks, unfortunately.
