Mouldman, I mount mine in the same place but use the suction cup, which takes way too much space. Great idea using the permanent mount, and its out of the way and not visible.
I've also tried mounting at the back window to see more cab and maybe instrumentation but its too far.
The other...
Whats the maximum lateral angle you've taken it? It would be nice to know what the number would be before it's unsafe. I think I've taken it to about 14. But its starting to feel quite alot force pushing you at of that seat, with the belts trying to keep you in!
I admit, I'm one of those guys that rarely get out. But I use to head out quite often with my old 98 flareside. Raptor was cheaper than an fx4, so I went that route.

Still need a mud pic.
Kind of an elementary question but how are you guys running your wiring? Like wire looms, tie-ins, running along frame, and leaving slack between cab and box for flex.
I've either used the existing wire looms under the bed rail with zip ties, or used the supplied white plastic clips thats stick...
Awesome idea wiring to the cargo light. I'm not quite sure, does the cargo light have 2 separate circuits, one with ignition power, and the other center, is switched 12v? Pretty sure just the outside lights are driving lights.
Great setup! How do you like the bakflip toolbox? I really want one...
god I hate those blue plastic 3-way connectors. one line wasn't making a connection. why haven't they come up with something better? actually all of the connectors are very poor.
Installed some anzo bed lights. I'm not sure which but either ford had plans for lighting or the kit was designed to fit exactly. Round light switch literally snaps into the factory side hole, and the side rails underneath have wire looms every 8", possibly from the plastic panels on top.
Love...
Yep, I knew that. Thanks!
I wonder why no one makes them with an option of having the box at the front or back. I relize the reason to keep box space available, but ever trying accessing a toolbox from the side, especially on a raptor. I'm not real short (5-9") and can maybe reach 1' in.
This has been a long term issue with trucks where there hasn't been anything good for quality organizer. Especially with raptors and lightning where everything get severly scattered in the back.
This is the best I've seen for keep your things in place.
What's everyone else using?
truck...
does look alot better. I'll be doing this.
so weird that the shocks are pretty much the showcase of the truck, put on display but yet get completely tarnished.
Same problem here at 20k.
No surprise that neither will warranty because of volume and cost.
Any suggestions on maybe cleaning/removing?
I wash the truck every week in the winter and make sure the shocks are sprayed down and still
shock corrosion
The salt up here apparently just kills the finish on the alluminum fox shocks. Is this common for everyone else? Is there anything to help with this?
