It was the switch. Something must've shorted out when I soldered the terminals. Everything works now. Not a raptor but thought I'd share.

Good point! LED's do show lower level when there's a bad connection.

When I hook them straight from 12V they are bright, but once the switch is connected, they're dim, to a point where its hard to tell if they're on.

Sorry for high jacking the thread but I suck at electrical and I'm installing the same strip lights but using a chinese blue led light push button switch. Apparently the switch is only good for 5A and doesn't seem to power the led strip to full strength which is surprising. Does this mean I need...

Waved at a shelby raptor on weekend and waved back. I throw the lightbar on when they can't see in the cab.

I'm not entirely sure. There a 3m amber signal light repair tape, which I assume is semi transparent, but only comes in 1.8"x60.

I'm also interested in hearing about the lights in white out conditions. (Probably better suited in the lights forum). I always tend to have problems either seeing the lines or the snow reflection from lights. Was thinking just amber wrap the light bar and see if it helps.

I've had this thing for like 5 years and didn't know the sound can be lowered. Doh! Looks like 70% on my hero2. I have a ram mount for the running board and suction cup for the body. I did notice if you wax the lens it does bead off pretty well.

Went out for a quick trail ride. If anyone has any tips on more exciting gopro mount locations let me know. In crappy weather I only know of the inside windshield mount.
