My 2018 had 45k on it before it got totaled & my 2020 now has 47k on it- not quite 70k but neither of em gave me a lick of trouble- oil changes, tire rotations, I did the T-case & diffs fluid @ 35k & new coolant @ 45k haven’t had to do brakes yet.
Looking for recommendations for good waterproof neoprene seat covers for front seats, have 2 Dobermans they fight for supremacy to be as close as possible to me (annoying but typical dobie behavior) & inevitably the puppy winds up jumping in front seat- eventually I’ll have her trained not to...
This 100% TFL a while back on YouTube had a Gen 2 w/ a tune/intake/IC go up against a TRX (& another Raptor I think a stock one?) & the lightly modded Gen2 was RIGHT there off by a couple tenths BUT it was also lifted & riding on heavy ass 37”s!!
Thanks this info is very helpful looking forward to seeing how it turns out. As you stated- what I’m going for is maintaining the same degree of factory rake, but w/ 1.5-2” higher ride height & leaf springs in the back that won’t settle so much over time and/or sag so much w/ a decent load that...
Well you’re on 18”s right? You had 17”s on w/ the 35”s right? So basically didn’t gain any extra sidewall height for one, I have heard the 37”s are very tough to balance- as others have said, maybe mess w/ different psi’s
Also (shot in the dark) wonder if your rear leafs are very worn -...
Nah that’s not too many miles- def go for it you’ll just be mad you didn’t do a tune earlier!!! Sooooo much better driving experience (seriously you’re going to be ticked off the second you get back in it after tune)
The shocks? I mean they probably need to be refreshed @ that mileage anyhow...
Saw a new 2023 Raptor R sell on mecum auto auction for $135k, it looked to be fully loaded (had the graphics & sunroof) - I believe it had no reserve, I can only guess the person who auctioned off lost $$$, maybe a good bit. You would have to think any new raptor Rs were sold w/ ADM, & even if...
If you’re truly not going to off-road w/ it could look into getting a rear sway bar - I think hellwig makes one for the Raptor
Edit- didn’t realize someone already mentioned.
IMO the Raptor handles great for what it is, I also would suggest running it w/ the following setup (assuming you’re on...
Ummm yeah from experience, like old enough to have owned trucks from a time when NONE of ‘em ever had 20”+ wheels lol!!! Had a slew of GM trucks w/ a few 20” wheel setups, had a Denali that had 22”s that I swapped back to the dealer for the basic 20”
Polished ones
And I had a GMC on 20”s that...
I had some Rappy graphics “slash” mark decals for the pillars, got tired of em after a while (orange slashes) & one was starting to peel so took em off, immediately disliked the gloss black & also know they scratch easily. I had a 2018 that was agate black & I put standard PPF film on them, but...
Jesus not my cup of tea whatsoever, but actually doesn’t look nearly as bad as I would’ve thought, looks like a super duty bro-dozer w/ fender flares now.
I don’t get the attraction w/ big wheels on trucks OR SUV’s/cars….even performance cars these days I think push it too much & a lil extra...
Damn now this makes me think +4HD is the way to go vs +3HD, you’re only 1/4” lower in front than back!?! So w/ the +3hd would be level or nose high??
I plan on revamping my suspension @ 60k miles- rebuild the factory live valves + add geiser springs front & +3HD or maybe +4HD deavers in rear. I...
2003, I don’t know why the manual Tremec T56 trans calls for ATF, but regardless the Amsoil stuff works great
I would just check on Amsoil’s website whether or not it meets the spec for the 10 speed in the Raptor & if so wouldn’t hesitate to use it, I’m using Amsoil fluid in the rear diff &...
No I’m just commenting on how I can immediately notice improvement w. Their atf when I swap for fresh in my manual trans vette
But I am not sure if I’d put anything besides what is recommended for the trans, not gonna change my trans fluid until 60-70k miles, I have 45k now
Jeez sounds like my vette build….which based on your name you’re also familiar w/
Blower & cam….hi-flow cats plugged exhaust, oil pressure buildup cracked pistons- engine out built & forged, back in making even more power, diff starts spewing then build that + gorilla axles & add ECS trans/diff...
Should be 3-ish for the rear
I’m using same fluid, Amsoil gear oil is great stuff, their ATF makes a noticeable improvement in shift feel every time I swap it out on my manual trans C5Z (yeah sounds odd but Amsoil recommends their synthetic ATF for the Tremec T56) - which made me a real...
