I never get why people would use a water/**** mix!?!? I use straight ****. VP M1 to be exact. Dual nozzle Direct injection via intake pipe about 5-6” ahead of the throttle body on my vette. I don’t get why you’d want to put ANY water in your engine regardless if it’s mixed w/ alcohol or not, +...
I’d rather have a 3.5HO w/ fully forged rotating assembly (shared w/ the GT supercar) than a coyote V8, blower or not
Why not put bigger snails on it instead w/ some cooling/fueling upgrades?
Have only heard good things & have chatted w/ him myself….only reason I didn’t go this route is I already had a BDX programmer from a previous 2018 Raptor w/ a Gearhead 93 octane tune & was able to just swap that onto my 2020 w/ a nominal fee to tweak the tune for the 2020
If I had a Cobb AP...
Installed some custom fit waterproof neoprene seat covers for the front seats, my 2 Dobies jump in front- esp the young one (only 9 months but getting huge) - I jump in & out of the truck wet from launching waverunners & sweaty/dirty from gym/kids/outdoors etc so this just works. Still threw a...
Lol it’s true! The gen3 has grown on me but it just doesn’t look as distinct from a standard F150 body as the other 2 gens IMHO
Jealous of the interior & coil rear tho
Gen2 > Gen3 in looks dept. sorry. That’s not an opinion, it’s a fact.
The more aggressive factory tune isn’t a selling point for me, its a detractor that they’re a pita to tune.
The gen3’s best attributes are the interior & the coilover rear. I think they really missed on the exterior design...
I think the Gen2 looks better than the Gen 1 or the Gen3, & I think it’s noticeable, it looks much “chunkier” & distinct from a standard f150 than the gen3 does. The exaggerated angled cutouts for the light surrounds in the rear fenders for example really make a difference, the “frowning”...
This description goes to show how much of a difference tires make- I have a C5Z vette w/ 718whp (last checked on a mustang dyno) & it actually fully hooks in 2nd gear & only weighs like 3200 lbs & is RWD obviously, I run 315mm Nitto NT01s, I feel like the KO2s on the Raptor actually hook ok on...
Is your truck a factory 37 package?!? Wouldn’t the ride height be effected doing that & steering geometry & throw off the live valve settings? Or did you lift your 35” truck to go to aftermarket 37”s & then went back to stock height for 35”s? Or did you keep the lift & just go w/ 35”s?
Thy sounds louder/different & occurs @ a different time during crank/start than when my 2018 developed it….if I remember correctly either holding the gas down or just cranking it longer would prevent the noise from occurring I forget which, but maybe yours progressed to point of no return? I...
After my 2018 Gen2 was totaled Rather than waiting for the Covid era Gen3’s to start hitting the lots I opted to find a 2020 w/o sunroof b/c I KNEW I’d be getting the most “sorted out” version of a gen2 possible, a late build 2020 w/ no pano roof, no cam phaser issues, & all the lil details they...
I got a last of the run 2020 & it’s an 800a (or 801?) w/ the “base leather” seats & no 360 camera etc, Apple CarPlay no nav. My 2018 was an 801a (I think that was the mid level trim then & in 2020 they removed one?) that had a bunch of a la carte options like graphics & sunroof & tailgate step...
Sounds like what you really want is mopar’s 392 in the Raptor or a tuned up Version of Fords 7.3- a lot of people would, but you’d also be looking @ single digit MPG too most likely.
I have a feeling some version of the hybrid power boost that’s in the Aviator may make its way into the next gen...
