Super easy. 4 bolts get the cover off, one hose clamp to get the filter off.

They look identical aside from the logo. I wouldn’t be surprised if Airaid makes the SPE one, that’s who makes the FP one.

I don’t think that’s because of the exhaust, I just think one is a yellow Lamborghini, and one is an F150.

Why sell the Mach 1?

So leave them or make them darker?

They actually come with a very nice, thick clear coating. Looks like some kind of clear powder or acrylic. If I did anything I think I would powdercoat metallic gloss black to match the grill, or a metallic gray that’s darker than Carbonized.

I used my points for the FP rings. Just trying to decide if I should mount them as is or coat them.

I’m pretty positive the fuel system has the capacity but no one has unlocked the ecu so they can be tuned yet.

Good looking nuts. This is by far the best small mod, even better than the stubby antenna and I think it gives better whp gains too.

Depending on the throttle position %age, the R has a bit of a Jackel and Hyde persona in normal mode. The tcm tune tries to keep rpm’s low in normal mode so it’s sluggish sluggish sluggish and then BAM! Drops 5 gears and sends you into orbit.

Everyone’s tastes on wheels and stuff like that differ greatly, but it’s your truck and a free country. Glad you recovered and congrats on the kiddo! That’s awesome.

The tcm tune auto learns as you drive. The more sedate you drive the more sedate it’ll shift, especially in normal mode. Switching to sport mode should be a noticeable difference in response. Honestly doesn’t sound like much is wrong but it’s hard to tell from just a description.

FP should make the same filter but in orange haha. Looks good!
