Agreed 180k is NOTHING.. my dad still daisy's his 1994 Dodge ran cummins... 487k ish miles.
My transit work vans(3.5 ecos) all have 200k plus miles on them. Maintenance is key.
I feel for you man. My business is finding electrical issues in building management systems.... sometimes I look like a hero, other times I've been in buildings for months finding the missing link.
In these trucks(or modern day cars) finding electrical gremlins can be difficult. A good tech(in...
I didn't... so I went to another dealer here in Florida (currently here for work)... they said the same thing... who knows may have some validity to it.
I know. But talking to the dealer, they sold a previous r a few weeks ago for the same price lol used...
Side note. Drove my r from maryland down here. Was a joy! Just sick and tired of drivers wanting to race me... come on its truck... move on lol
Not sure if this is 100% true but my local ford dealer I bought my raptors from(my 23 r as well) said zero 24's will be released to dealers until all 23's are sold at that dealer. Thoughts?
Update! Truck is smooth as butter now. Road force balanced, put a ton of weight on the wheels(balancig), and ended up having to rotate the tires on the rims.. took about 3 trys I believe. Happy now. Thanks for the Input guys
Wheels are method 305 double black 17x8.5
37x12.50 nitto recon grapplers
Good to know just was double checking. I've wrenched on vehicles for 20 years , but that doesn't mean I can't learn something new. Gotta be a balancing issue then.
The rear wheel/tire setup is smooth. I'll just take the 2 front wheels off and have them re balance it. Found an offroad center...
Gotcha thanks guys. I'll see what the road balancing does tomorrow when I take the set up in.
Could this also be the issue?- I hand tighten all the lugs, then torque straight to 150lbs. In the standard star pattern. Just thinking...
On my 35" raptor I did the same torque method and those wheels...
Gotcha. 1st time I've had this issue.. but this is also the first time I've had 37 's as well. My aftermarket wheels on my regular raptor (35's) are smooth as butter.
Just installed new method's(zero offset) and 37x12.50's(recon Terra grapplers).
Problem- had the fronts balanced twice now and I'm still getting a shimmy in the steering wheel at 60 mph and above. Stock tires were smooth as butter. Any advice?
Thanks!
Sure will man! Just got it back from the detail shop, window tint, deleted the resonators, ceramic coat. 630 miles on her- doing oil change, installing the new shoes then off on a 800 mile trip to Florida lol
Mine did this as well(2 times that's it and cannot replicate it now)... 236 miles on the odom.
Not impressed with this thing at all hence why I kept my 23 eb raptor. I swear my regular raptor feels faster down low and mid range... granted I have not taken the gas peddle past 1/2 throttle until...
Whelp already having a developing issue(hopefully) not. Truck has about 100 miles on it and when warm has a pro-long cranking when starting the engine. Cranking time is about 4 seconds.
My regular 23 raptor starts right up.
Could this be a possible "new" break in pains? I tried it today and it...
It must add something- the ford performance filter alone added 8.8 rwhp on the dyno. I added one. Finally putting some miles on the r(up to 103 miles). Not beating on it yet but with that ford filter the supercharger is a touch louder.
