Well guys, I have been on a long road trip about 6k ish miles so far. Along the trip I have developed a cam rattle. It started getting louder and sounded worse at idle. Then I begin having trouble starting. Then I was driving today and gave it a little bit more beans to pass and it started...
I do put some miles on her. Picked her up Dec of 2016 and I don't think I can ever get rid of her. Lots of work done and no way to ever recoup any of it when the odometer says 200k. But man I have been thinking about a Gen 3 possibly an R if the prices will come down from the clouds.
Yesterday i replaced uniballs in SVC UCA and lower ball joint which was still the stock one with 197k in it.
Today is realign exhaust that somehow got out of whack and will hit the crossmemeber a make a hellof a sound when warming up.
Tomorrow is coilovers, bypasses and bump stips being...
That a cantilever design. Can use a short stroke coilover and get lots of travel based on how it works. And nothing hangs down below axle too. Most big name suspension people have a cantilever kit for the Raptor. RPG, Foutz, Evil to name a few.
I have a cantilever on the rear of my Jeep JK.
So I AMS boost tubes and noticed where the pin on the boost tubes goes in the bracket had broke. I had a nice sized hole just open to the atmosphere. Not sure why it broke. So got a replacement boost tube an just removed the bracket all together. No problems so far.
I have considered it and have even made some phone calls. Most places are at 5k ADM but have had a few want 15k. That's 25% of the MSRP. Crazy. Going to hold off for a bit but I'm sure one will eventually end up in my driveway for my wife.
I have a buddy who owns a shop that has his coming...
I seen these the other day while floating around on Craigslist.
